◆ 교사 연구회가 메타버스 기반 교육콘텐츠로 최우수상 차지
천안쌍용고등학교 유인하 교사를 포함한 사이음 교사 연구회는 2025 가상융합서비스 개발자 경진대회 크리에이터 부문에서 대상(과학기술정보통신부장관상)을 수상했다. 연구회 구성원은 천안쌍용고등학교 유인하 교사, 속초고등학교 김하연 교사, 충남과학고등학교 신미애 교사다. 과학기술정보통신부가 주최하고 한국지능정보사회진흥원, 한국메타버스산업협회, 정보통신산업진흥원이 주관한 이 경진대회는 가상융합서비스 분야의 창의적 아이디어와 기술을 발굴하기 위해 개최됐다.
◆ 존 스노우 사례로 과학적 탐구 과정 체험
수상작은 ZEP 플랫폼에서 활용 가능한 "페이션트 제로를 찾아라!"라는 주제 맵이다. 이 콘텐츠는 2022 개정 교육과정 '통합과학2'의 성취 기준인 '과학의 유용성'과 연계해 제작됐다. 학습자는 존 스노우의 역학 조사 과정을 단계적으로 체험하며 과학적 탐구 과정의 실용성을 습득한다. 교사들이 교실 현장에서 직접 활용할 수 있는 참여형 콘텐츠로 설계돼 현재 'ZEP School 수업 자료 꾸러미'에 공개 중이다.

◆ "교실을 재미있는 공간으로 만들겠다"
유인하 교사는 "과학 시간이 재미있고 기다려지는 시간이 될 수 있도록 만들겠다는 교육관을 바탕으로 직접 코딩하고 개발한 결과"라고 수상 배경을 설명했다. 그는 "앞으로 교실 현장에서 활용할 수 있는 학습자 중심의 다양한 교육 콘텐츠를 계속 개발하겠다"고 덧붙였다.

◆ Teacher Research Group Receives Top Award for Metaverse-Based Educational Content
The Sayium Teacher Research Group, including Yoo In-ha, a teacher at Cheonan Ssangyong High School, won the grand prize (Minister of Science and ICT Award) in the Creator Category of the 2025 Virtual Convergence Service Developer Competition. The research group consists of Yoo In-ha from Cheonan Ssangyong High School, Kim Ha-yeon from Sokcho High School, and Shin Mi-ae from Chungnam Science High School. The competition, hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and organized by the Korean Intelligent Information Society Promotion Agency, Korean Metaverse Industry Association, and Information and Communications Industry Promotion Agency, was established to discover creative ideas and technologies in the virtual convergence service field.
◆ Learning Epidemiological Investigation Through John Snow's Case Study
The winning work is a map titled "Find Patient Zero!" available on the ZEP platform. This content was developed in connection with the 2022 revised curriculum's "Integrated Science 2" achievement standard of "usefulness of science." Learners experience John Snow's epidemiological investigation process step by step and acquire practical knowledge of scientific inquiry processes. Designed as participatory content that teachers can utilize directly in classroom settings, it is currently available in the 'ZEP School Lesson Materials Package.'
◆ "Making the Classroom an Engaging Space"
Teacher Yoo In-ha explained the background of the award, saying "This is the result of direct coding and development based on an educational philosophy of making science class an enjoyable and anticipated time." He added, "I will continue to develop diverse, learner-centered educational content that can be utilized in classroom practice."
