제천경찰서가 지난19일 세명 대학교 학생들을 대상으로 경찰 직무 소개와 해외 취업 사기 예방 강연을 실시했다.

조성철(경정) 범죄 예방 대응 과장이 강연을 진행했다. 조 과장은 청년층을 노린 해외 취업 사기 등 구체적인 범죄 유형을 설명했다.

강연 후 대학가 원룸촌과 주요 통행로를 중심으로 해외 취업 사기 예방 홍보물을 배부했다. 세명대 경찰학과 학생들이 캠페인에 참여했다.

조성철 과장은 "해외 취업을 미끼로 한 사기나 인신 매매형 범죄는 누구에게나 닥칠 수 있는 위험"이라며 "지속적인 예방 교육과 홍보 활동을 강화해 나갈 것"이라고 밝혔다.
