◆ 동절기 급수공사 3개월 중단
청주시는 수도관 동파 및 부실시공 방지를 위해 21일부터 내년 2월20일까지 3개월간 상수도 급수공사를 중지한다고 16일 밝혔다. 20일까지 신청과 고지서 수령을 완료하고 27일까지 공사금액을 납부한 건은 급수공사를 진행한다.
◆ 긴급 상황 예외 인정
급수공사 중지 기간에도 예외적으로 공사를 추진하는 경우가 있다. 건축물 준공 후 상수도 미공급으로 입주가 불가능한 경우, 지하수 고갈 및 수질오염으로 상수도 급수가 시급한 경우, 기타 불가피한 상황이 발생한 경우 급수공사를 진행한다.
◆ 시민 협조 당부
상수도사업본부 관계자는 "급수공사가 필요한 경우 반드시 공사 중지 기간 이전에 신청해 달라"고 말했다. 이어 "공사 중지는 동절기 부실시공 방지를 위한 조치인 만큼 시민 여러분의 적극적인 협조를 바란다"고 밝혔다.

A waterworks business headquarters official stated, "If water supply construction is needed, please apply before the construction suspension period." The official added, "As the construction suspension is a measure to prevent substandard construction during winter, we ask for active cooperation from citizens."
