◆ 심리상담 74명 지원…진천군민 호응 높아
충북 진천군은 정신건강 증진을 위해 추진 중인 '전 국민 마음 투자 지원사업'에서 1월부터 10월까지 74명에게 심리상담 서비스를 제공했다. 13일 진천군 발표다.
진천읍 24명, 덕산읍 36명, 초평면 2명, 문백면 1명, 이월면 7명, 광혜원면 4명이 지원받았다. 높은 참여율로 인해 사업 예산이 조기 소진되어 당초 계획보다 앞당겨 종료됐다. 이 사업은 우울, 불안 등 심리적 어려움을 겪는 군민을 대상으로 대화 기반의 전문 심리상담 서비스를 제공하는 국가사업이다.
◆ 덕산읍 심리상담센터 상시 운영
진천군은 상담 접근성 향상을 위해 덕산읍에 위치한 '이음 언어 심리상담센터'를 사업 제공기관으로 지정·운영 중이다.
해당 기관은 2급 유형의 제공기관으로 등록되어 있으며, 기관장을 포함한 3명의 전문 상담 인력을 배치해 맞춤형 심리지원 서비스를 제공한다. 진천군은 11월부터 12월까지 지원자 서비스 비용 지급과 예탁금 정산을 완료하고, 내년도 신규 예산을 확보해 서비스를 지속 제공할 계획이다.
◆ 생명 존중 안심마을·자살유족 자조모임으로 지역 안전망 확대
진천군은 자살 예방을 위한 지역 안전망 구축으로 '생명 존중 안심마을' 사업을 올해 2차 연도로 운영하고 있다. 이 사업은 초평면까지 확대되어 7개 읍·면 중 진천읍, 덕산읍, 광혜원면, 초평면 등 4개 읍·면이 참여한다.
자살 고위험군 조기 발굴과 개입, 자살 예방 교육과 캠페인, 자살위험 수단 차단 활동 등을 통합 추진한다. 아울러 2020년부터 운영 중인 자살유족 자조모임 '목련'은 올해 보건복지부 산하 한국생명존중희망재단이 주관하는 '2025년 자살 유족 자조 모임 지원사업'에 최종 선정되어 500만 원의 사업비를 지원받았다.
진천군 윤순자 보건행정과장은 "정신건강은 일상의 기본이자 모든 복지의 출발점이다. 앞으로도 군민 정신건강 증진과 자살 예방을 위해 다양한 서비스를 확대 제공하고, 지역 맞춤형 마음 건강 안전망 구축에 최선을 다하겠다." 고 말했다.

Jincheon County, North Chungcheong Province provided mental health counseling services to 74 residents from January to October through the 'National Mental Investment Support Project' aimed at promoting mental health improvement. The county announced this on the 13th. The breakdown by district is as follows: Jincheon-eup 24 people, Deoksan-eup 36 people, Chopyeong-myeon 2 people, Munbaek-myeon 1 person, Iwol-myeon 7 people, and Gwanghyewon-myeon 4 people. The facility is registered as a Grade 2 service provider and maintains three professional counseling staff members, including the director, to provide customized mental health support services. Jincheon County plans to complete service cost payments and deposit settlements from November to December and secure new budget for the next year to continue providing services.
◆ Life-Respect Safety Village and Suicide Bereaved Self-help Group Expand Regional Safety Network
Jincheon County is operating the 'Life-Respect Safety Village' project as its second-year initiative for building a regional safety network for suicide prevention. The project expanded to include Chopyeong-myeon, with four districts—Jincheon-eup, Deoksan-eup, Gwanghyewon-myeon, and Chopyeong-myeon—participating out of seven eup/myeons. The project comprehensively implements early identification and intervention of high-risk suicide groups, suicide prevention education and campaigns, and suicide risk method blocking activities. Additionally, the suicide bereaved self-help group 'Magnolia,' operating since 2020, was selected for the '2025 Suicide Bereaved Self-help Group Support Project' led by the Korea Life Respect and Hope Foundation under the Ministry of Health and Welfare and received 5 million won in project funding.
