◆교육 실시

세종특별자치시 소방본부(본부장 박태원)는 10일 덕성서원 일원에서 현장지휘관 40여 명을 대상으로 '2025년 4분기 현장지휘 전문가 초빙 교육'을 실시했다. 소방본부는 봄철 대형산불 합동훈련과 도시형 산림화재 대응훈련을 통해 축적한 실전 경험을 바탕으로 지휘관의 전술적 판단력과 전략적 지휘능력을 강화하기 위해 이번 교육을 마련했다.

◆교육 내용과 세종시 특성

황정석 산불정책기술연구소장은 산림 지형과 기상 조건에 따른 화재 확산 특성을 설명했다. 황 소장은 주불 및 잔불 진화 요령 등 현장에서 즉시 활용할 수 있는 실무 중심 교육을 진행했다. 세종시는 전체 면적의 56%가 임야로 구성돼 산불 확산 위험이 크다. 황 소장은 국가 주요시설이 밀집한 도시 특성상 맞춤형 산림화재 대응체계 확립이 필요하다고 강조했다.

◆향후 계획

박광찬 소방본부 대응예방과장은 "앞으로도 외부 전문가 초빙 교육과 실전형 훈련을 지속적으로 병행해 현장 지휘역량과 대응체계를 강화하겠다"고 밝혔다.

◆Training Implementation

The Sejong Special Self-Governing City Fire Headquarters (Chief Park Tae-won) conducted the '2025 Fourth Quarter Field Command Expert Training' for approximately 40 field commanders at Deokseong Seowon area on the 10th. The fire headquarters organized this training to strengthen commanders' tactical judgment and strategic command capabilities based on practical experience accumulated through joint spring wildfire drills and urban forest fire response training.

◆Training Content and Sejong City Characteristics

Hwang Jung-seok, Director of the Wildfire Policy and Technology Research Institute, explained fire spread characteristics according to forest terrain and weather conditions. Director Hwang conducted practical training on main fire and residual fire suppression techniques that can be immediately applied in the field. Sejong City faces high wildfire spread risk as forests comprise 56% of its total area. Director Hwang emphasized the need to establish a customized forest fire response system given the city's characteristics with concentrated national key facilities.

◆Future Plans

Park Gwang-chan, Director of the Fire Headquarters Response and Prevention Division, stated, "We will continue to combine external expert training and practical drills to strengthen field command capabilities and response systems."
