◆ 충남 최초 임대형 스마트팜 준공
공주시는 6일 이인면 주봉리 일원에서 임대형 스마트팜 조성사업 준공식을 개최했다. 최원철 공주시장, 김태흠 충남도지사, 시·도의원, 지역 농협조합장, 농업인 단체장 등 300여 명이 참석했다. 공주시는 2022년부터 총사업비 150억 원을 투입해 3.4ha 부지에 스마트 온실 10동을 건설했다. 각 온실은 약 2,000㎡ 규모다. 시설에는 관리동과 오수처리시설을 함께 조성했다.

◆ ICT 기반 환경제어 시스템 갖춰
시설은 첨단 ICT 기반 온실 환경제어 시스템을 갖췄다. 재배 경험이 부족한 청년 농업인도 안정적으로 영농활동을 수행할 수 있다. 공주시는 청년 농업인에게 스마트팜 임대 기회를 제공한다. 스마트 농법 기술 보급과 데이터 기반 농업 경영 지원을 강화할 계획이다. 시는 청년층의 영농 진입 장벽을 낮추고 지역 농촌의 활력을 높인다는 방침이다.
◆ 경쟁력 있는 농업환경 조성 추진
최원철 시장은 "공주시가 충남 도내에서 가장 먼저 임대형 스마트팜 준공을 완료했다"며 "생산성 향상과 노동력 절감, 농가소득 증대를 통해 경쟁력 있는 농촌 환경을 만들겠다"고 밝혔다. 공주시는 이번 사업을 통해 자생력 있는 농업 생태계를 구축하고 지속가능한 미래 농업을 실현한다는 목표다.
