청양군은 다문화가정의 국제특송료(EMS)를 지원하는 사업을 올해 연말까지 추진한다고 밝혔다.
청양군과 청양우체국 간 협약을 바탕으로 시행되는 이 사업은 다문화가정이 고향에 농·특산품 등을 국제특송(EMS)으로 보낼 경우 요금을 지원한다.
지원 대상은 청양군에 거주하는 다문화가정이다. 가정당 연 2회, 회당 최대 30kg까지 국제특송(EMS) 요금을 지원한다.
신청을 원할 경우, 외국인등록증·가족관계등록부 등 다문화가정임을 확인할 수 있는 서류를 지참해 청양 관내 우체국을 방문하면 된다.
군 관계자는 "청양에서 새로운 터전을 잡은 다문화가정이 고향 가족들과 마음을 나누고, 소중한 선물을 전할 때 이번 지원이 도움이 되길 바란다"고 밝혔다.
군은 다문화가정을 위해 가족센터를 중심으로 한국어교육 및 통·번역 지원, 상담·사례관리, 방문교육·이중언어 지원, 가족·문화 교류 프로그램 등을 운영하고 있다. 문의는 가족센터(041-944-2333) 또는 가까운 행정복지센터로 하면 된다.

Cheongyang-gun announced it will continue a project to support international express (EMS) fees for multicultural families until the end of this year.
Based on an agreement between Cheongyang-gun and Cheongyang Post Office, this project supports fees when multicultural families send agricultural and specialty products to their hometowns via international express (EMS).
The support is available to multicultural families residing in Cheongyang-gun. Families receive support for EMS fees twice a year, up to 30kg per time.
To apply, applicants should visit a post office in Cheongyang-gun with documents that can verify multicultural family status, such as a foreigner registration card or family relation certificate.
A county official stated, "We hope this support will help multicultural families who have established new lives in Cheongyang share their hearts with their hometown families and deliver precious gifts."
The county operates Korean language education and interpretation support, counseling and case management, home visit education and bilingual support, and family and cultural exchange programs centered on the Family Center for multicultural families. Inquiries can be made to the Family Center (041-944-2333) or the nearest administrative welfare center.
