충남도, 22일부터 인구주택총조사 실시
11월 18일까지…전체 가구 중 20% 표본 심층조사
충남도는 10월 22일부터 11월 18일까지 도내 거주하는 모든 내·외국인과 거처를 대상으로 '2025 인구주택총조사'를 실시한다고 밝혔다.
인구주택총조사는 5년마다 시행하는 국가 기본통계 조사다. 도내 전체 주민을 행정자료 기반 등록센서스 방식으로 파악하며, 이 중 약 20% 표본 가구를 대상으로 심층조사를 진행한다.
표본조사는 도내 가구의 약 5분의 1 규모로, 전국적으로는 약 500만 가구가 참여한다.
이번 총조사는 주요 조사 항목을 개선했다. 저출생·고령화 등 새로운 정책 수요를 고려해 '가족돌봄시간', '결혼 계획·의향' 등을 새로 포함했다.
다문화 가구 및 외국인을 위한 '가구 내 사용 언어', '한국어 실력' 항목과 임대주택 거주 가구 현황 파악을 위한 '임대주체' 항목이 추가됐다.
응답자 부담 완화를 위해 일부 문항은 행정자료로 대체했다. 민감하거나 활용도가 낮은 '혼인연월', '사망자녀 수' 등은 조사 항목에서 제외했다.
10월 22일부터 31일까지는 인터넷(https://www.census.go.kr) 및 전화(콜센터 080-2025-2025)로 비대면 조사를 진행한다.
조사 대상 가구에는 사전에 안내문과 참여용 인증번호를 발송했다. 해당 기간 누구나 인터넷(PC 또는 모바일) 및 무료 콜센터 전화로 응답할 수 있다.
11월 1일부터 11월 18일까지는 앞서 응답하지 않은 가구를 대상으로 통계조사원이 직접 방문해 태블릿 PC를 활용한 면접조사를 실시한다.
방문조사 시 조사원은 시군에서 발급한 조사원증을 제시한다. 대면조사가 어려운 경우 방문 기간 중에도 비대면 조사 참여가 가능하다.
모든 표본 가구는 안내문의 정보무늬(QR코드)를 통해 스마트폰으로 응답할 수 있다.
수집된 인구·가구·주택에 관한 종합 정보는 향후 정책 수립과 학술연구의 기초자료로 활용된다.
수집된 자료는 통계 목적 외에는 사용되지 않으며, 철저한 보안 절차에 따라 관리된다.
전승현 충남도 AI데이터정책관은 "인구주택총조사는 5년마다 실시하는 대규모 통계조사인 만큼 도민의 조사 참여가 중요하다"며 "표본으로 선정된 가구는 가급적 인터넷·전화조사로 참여해 달라"고 밝혔다.

Chungnam Province announced it will conduct the '2025 Population and Housing Census' targeting all Korean and foreign residents and their dwellings in the province from October 22 to November 18.
The Population and Housing Census is a basic national statistical survey conducted every five years. The province identifies all residents based on administrative data through a registration census method and conducts an in-depth survey of approximately 20% sample households.
The sample survey covers about one-fifth of households in the province, with approximately 5 million households participating nationwide.
This census improved major survey items. Considering new policy demands such as low birth rates and aging, it newly included 'family care time' and 'marriage plans/intentions.'
Items such as 'languages used in household' and 'Korean language proficiency' for multicultural households and foreigners, and 'rental entity' for identifying the status of households living in rental housing were added.
To reduce respondent burden, some questions were replaced with administrative data. Sensitive or low-utility items such as 'marriage date' and 'number of deceased children' were excluded from the survey.
From October 22 to 31, non-face-to-face surveys will be conducted via internet (https://www.census.go.kr) and telephone (call center 080-2025-2025).
Survey target households were sent notices and participation authentication numbers in advance. Anyone can respond via internet (PC or mobile) and free call center telephone during this period.
From November 1 to November 18, statistical surveyors will directly visit households that have not yet responded and conduct interviews using tablet PCs.
During visit surveys, surveyors will present surveyor certificates issued by cities and counties. If face-to-face surveys are difficult, non-face-to-face survey participation is possible even during the visit period.
All sample households can respond conveniently via smartphone through the information pattern (QR code) on the notice.
The collected comprehensive information on population, households, and housing will be used as basic data for future policy formulation and academic research.
Collected data will not be used for purposes other than statistics and will be managed according to thorough security procedures.
