보령 가축분뇨공공처리시설, 전국 최우수 시설 선정

보령=김한규 기자 = 보령 가축분뇨공공처리시설이 한국환경공단이 주관한 '2024년 기술진단 완료시설 운영관리평가'에서 분뇨·가축분뇨 부문 최우수 시설로 선정됐다.
◆ 전국 89개 시설 대상 평가
한국환경공단은 전국 89개 공공하수도 및 공공환경시설 중 기술진단 완료시설을 대상으로 운영관리의 적정성을 종합적으로 심사했다. 1차 서류심사, 2차 현장평가, 3차 심의위원회 평가를 거쳐 최종 결과가 확정됐다.
◆ 하루 230톤 처리 규모
보령 가축분뇨공공처리시설은 보령시 전역 축산농가에서 발생하는 가축분뇨를 하루 230톤 처리한다. 시설은 체계적인 운영관리, 시설 효율성 제고, 환경기초시설 관리 역량에서 높은 평가를 받았다.
◆ 시 "지속가능한 처리시스템 확립"
보령시 관계자는 "이번 성과는 가축분뇨공공처리시설의 안정적인 운영과 철저한 관리 노력이 결실을 맺은 것"이라고 말했다.
관계자는 "농가와 주민 모두가 신뢰할 수 있는 지속가능한 처리시스템을 확립해 지역 환경보전과 자원 선순환에 기여하겠다"고 밝혔다.

Boryeong Livestock Manure Public Treatment Facility processes 230 tons of livestock manure daily from livestock farms across Boryeong City. The facility received high evaluations in systematic operation management, facility efficiency improvement, and environmental infrastructure management capabilities.

A Boryeong City official said, "This achievement is the result of stable operation and thorough management efforts of the livestock manure public treatment facility."
