◆ 교육 개요
황간초등학교(교장 김현도)는 10월 14일부터 16일까지 대한키즈스윙스쿨 김천캠퍼스 내 실내 수영장에서 학생들의 안전 의식과 생명 보호 의식 함양을 위한 생존수영 교육을 실시했다. 이번 교육은 지난해에 이어 올해도 실기 중심으로 진행됐다.

◆ 교육 내용
교육 과정은 물속 호흡법, 도구 활용 생존법, 구명조끼 착용법, 다양한 뜨기 방법, 익수자 구조법, 구명정 활용법 등 실제 상황을 가정한 체험형으로 구성됐다. 학생들은 위기 상황 인지 능력과 자기 보호 기술을 실습하며 생존 능력 향상에 주력했다.

◆ 담당 교사 발언
교육에 참여한 담당 교사는 “실제와 유사한 환경에서 진행되는 생존수영 교육은 학생들의 위기 대응 능력을 키우는 데 중요한 역할을 한다”며 “학생들이 물에 대한 두려움을 떨치고 자신감을 얻는 모습을 확인할 수 있었다”고 말했다.

◆ Training Overview
Hwanggan Elementary School (Principal Kim Hyun-do) conducted survival swimming training for students at the Daehan Kids Swing School Gimcheon Campus indoor pool from October 14 to 16, 2025. The program aimed to strengthen students’ safety awareness and life protection skills and was carried out with practical exercises, following last year’s program.

◆ Training Content
The program included underwater breathing techniques, tool-based survival methods, life jacket usage, various floating techniques, rescue of drowning persons, and life raft usage. Students practiced these skills in simulated situations to enhance crisis awareness and self-protection capabilities.

◆ Teacher’s Remarks
A participating teacher said, “Hands-on survival swimming training in realistic conditions plays a key role in developing students’ crisis response abilities. We observed students overcoming fear of water and gaining confidence.”
