◆ 16일 거제시의회 방문 간담회
청주시의회 의회운영위원회(위원장 남연심)는 16일 청주시의회 중회의실에서 거제시의회 의회운영위원회(위원장 최양희) 위원들과 간담회를 가졌다. 거제시의회는 선진지견학 차 청주시의회를 방문했다.
◆ 의원연구단체·체험활동조례 논의
간담회에서는 의원들의 전문성과 정책역량 강화를 위한 의원연구단체 운영 사례를 중점적으로 의견을 교환했다.
지역 아동·청소년의 민주시민 역량 함양을 지원하기 위한 「어린이·청소년 체험활동 지원 조례」 제정 과정 및 운영에 관한 사항도 논의했다.
◆ 스마트 의정시스템·의정홍보관 견학
거제시의회 위원들은 청주시의회 스마트 의정시스템, 본회의장 전자회의시스템, 의정홍보관 등을 둘러봤다. 청주시의회 의정활동 운영체계와 의회 환경을 향후 거제시의회 의정활동에 접목시키는 방안을 모색했다.
◆ "의정 발전에 기여할 것"
송병호 청주시의회 의회운영부위원장은 "이번 방문은 두 의회가 상호 의정활동의 경험을 공유하고, 바람직한 운영 사례의 노하우를 나누는 뜻깊은 자리였다"고 말했다.
송 부위원장은 "특히 의원연구단체를 통한 의원 개개인의 역량 강화 방안에 대한 다양한 시사점을 얻어 두 의회의 의정 발전에 실질적으로 기여할 것으로 기대한다"고 덧붙였다.

Geoje City Council members toured Cheongju City Council's smart legislative system, plenary session electronic conference system, and legislative PR center. They explored ways to incorporate Cheongju City Council's legislative activity operation system and council environment into future Geoje City Council legislative activities.

Song Byeong-ho, vice chairperson of Cheongju City Council's Steering Committee, said, "This visit was a meaningful occasion for the two councils to share experiences of mutual legislative activities and exchange know-how of desirable operating cases."
Vice Chairperson Song added, "In particular, we expect it will substantially contribute to the legislative development of both councils by obtaining various implications for ways to strengthen individual council members' capabilities through council member research groups."
