◆ 제1회 위원회 개최

충청남도홍성교육지원청(교육장 임광섭)은 10월 15일 홍성교육지원청 중회의실에서 "2025년도 제1회 학교체육진흥지역위원회"를 개최했다. 홍성군 학교체육에 관한 사항을 협의했다.

학교체육진흥지역위원회는 「학교체육 진흥법」에 근거하여 학교체육 활성화를 위한 정책의 수립과 효율적 추진을 위해 교육지원청에 설치하는 위원회다. 위원은 홍성교육지원청, 홍성군청, 홍성군 체육회, 관내 학교에서 추천받아 위촉한다.

◆ 백승균 위원장 선출, 임기 2년

새롭게 구성된 위원회는 백승균 홍성군체육회장을 위원장으로 선출했다. 위원들은 임기 2년(2025년 10월 1일~2027년 9월 30일) 동안 홍성 지역 학교체육 활성화를 위해 활동한다.

회의에서는 홍성교육지원청 학교체육진흥지역위원회 운영규정 개정과 2025년 상반기 학교체육 주요 성과를 공유했다. 지역 내 학교체육 관련 현안 논의가 주요 안건으로 다뤄졌다.

◆ 내포신도시 운동부 이동 필요성 합의

위원들은 학생 수가 줄고 있는 홍성읍 학교에 운동부가 집중되며 발생하는 학생 선수 수급 문제를 논의했다. 단계적으로 인구가 많은 내포신도시로 운동부를 이동할 필요가 있다는데 뜻을 모았다.

운동부 훈련 시설 설치를 위한 부지와 예산 확보, 운동부 이동을 위한 학교 간 공감대 형성을 위해 홍성군청, 체육회, 교육지원청이 지속적으로 협의하기로 했다.

◆ "긴밀히 협력하겠다"

임광섭 교육장은 "학교체육진흥지역위원회는 학교체육과 지역 체육의 협력과 소통을 위한 가교 구실을 한다"고 말했다.

임 교육장은 "앞으로도 위원회에서 제안된 의견을 적극 반영하여 홍성군 학교체육 발전을 위해 관계기관과 긴밀히 협력하겠다"고 덧붙였다.

◆ Agreement on Necessity of Moving Sports Teams to Naepo New City

Committee members discussed the problem of student athlete supply and demand that occurs as sports teams are concentrated in Hongseong-eup schools where the number of students is decreasing. They agreed on the need to gradually move sports teams to Naepo New City, which has a larger population.

Hongseong County Office, Sports Council, and Office of Education Support agreed to continue to cooperate to secure sites and budgets for installing sports team training facilities and form consensus among schools for moving sports teams.

◆ "Will Cooperate Closely"

Superintendent Lim Gwang-seop said, "The School Physical Education Promotion Regional Committee serves as a bridge for cooperation and communication between school physical education and local sports."

Superintendent Lim added, "We will continue to actively reflect opinions proposed by the committee and cooperate closely with related organizations for the development of school physical education in Hongseong County."
