보령시가 지난 15일 드론을 활용한 섬지역 물류 배송 시연회를 성공적으로 마쳤다.
이번 실증 시연회는 국토교통부 공모사업인 '2025년 드론 실증도시 구축사업'의 일환으로 진행됐다. 물류 취약지역인 섬 주민들에게 생필품, 공공배달, 밑반찬 등을 드론으로 배송했다.
폐의약품 역배송 시연도 진행
시는 섬 주민들로부터 수거된 폐의약품을 보건지소의 도움으로 역배송하는 시연도 함께 진행했다. 이를 통해 드론 배송의 안전성과 효율성을 검증했다.
하나로마트·먹깨비 연계 배송체계 구축
시는 지역 하나로마트와 공공배달앱 먹깨비를 연계해 배송체계를 마련했다. 섬 주민들이 앱으로 생필품을 주문하면 드론으로 배송받을 수 있다. 열악한 물류 환경 개선에 속도를 내고 있다.
해안순찰 등 공공서비스로 확대 예정
시는 드론 배송을 넘어 해안순찰 등 다양한 드론 기반 공공서비스로 확대할 계획이다. 드론 산업 발전과 함께 지역 산업 경쟁력 강화에도 기여할 것으로 기대하고 있다.
보령시 관계자는 "이번 시연회를 통해 보령시 드론 산업의 발전 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다"며 "앞으로도 시민이 직접 체감할 수 있는 드론 배송 서비스를 지속적으로 확대해 나가겠다"고 말했다.

Expansion to Public Services Including Coastal Patrol Planned
The city plans to expand beyond drone delivery to various drone-based public services such as coastal patrol. It is expected to contribute significantly to strengthening regional industrial competitiveness along with the development of the drone industry.
