홍성군이 청년 고독사 문제를 예방하기 위해 '청년 고독사 고위험군 지원사업'을 오는 12월까지 운영한다고 밝혔다.

청년의 고립·은둔 상태가 장기화될 경우 고독사 개연성이 매우 높아진다. 군은 주변 사람들과 교류가 단절된 청년들에게 맞춤형 지원 등 적기 개입을 제공한다. 이는 생명 보호뿐 아니라 사회통합적 관점에서도 중요하다.

심리상담·취업지원 등 4개 유형 서비스 제공

군은 정신건강 문제해결과 심리 회복을 위한 전문적 심리상담, 집단상담, 단절된 사회관계망 재구축을 위한 동아리 활동, 경제적 자립 및 일상 회복을 위한 취업지원 등을 제공한다.

사업대상은 19~39세 중 고독사 위험에 노출되거나 노출될 가능성이 높다고 판단되는 청년이다.

홍성군가족센터·읍면 행정복지센터서 신청

사업신청은 사업 수행기관인 홍성군가족센터와 주소지 읍·면 행정복지센터를 통해 가능하다. 서비스는 총 4개 유형 ▲마음회복 ▲관계회복 ▲일상회복 ▲통합적 지원의 체계다.

박성래 복지정책과장은 "청년들의 사회적 고립은 개인의 문제가 아닌 사회 전체가 함께 해결해야 할 과제라고 생각한다"며 "이번 사업을 통해 가족, 친구, 이웃 등과 단절된 청년들을 다시 사회와 연결시키고 일상을 누릴 수 있도록 노력하겠다"고 말했다.

충남도에서 홍성군만 참여

이 사업은 2025년 보건복지부 신규사업으로 충남도에서는 홍성군이 유일하게 참여한다.

군은 이 밖에도 고독사 위험군 발굴을 위해 공적부조 탈락자, 공공요금 체납자 등 행정데이터를 기반으로 한 대상자뿐만 아니라, 알코올의존자, 1인 가구, 역·터미널 주변 여인숙, 다가구 주택 등 지역·대상자 특성을 추가로 조사해 신규 위험가구를 발굴하고 있다. ▲고독사 예방 및 관리 시범사업 ▲안부살핌 서비스 지원 ▲사례관리로 고독사 예방과 촘촘한 복지 안전망 확충을 위해 노력하고 있다.

Only Hongseong County Participates in South Chungcheong Province

This project is a new project of the Ministry of Health and Welfare in 2025, and Hongseong County is the only participant in South Chungcheong Province.

In addition, the county is discovering new at-risk households by additionally investigating not only targets based on administrative data such as public assistance dropouts and public utility bill delinquents, but also regional and target characteristics such as alcohol dependents, single-person households, inns around stations and terminals, and multi-family houses. The county is making efforts to prevent lonely deaths and expand a tight welfare safety net through ▲Lonely Death Prevention and Management Pilot Project ▲Welfare Check Service Support ▲Case Management.
