◆ 20개 부스로 AI·VR·AR 기술 체험

백제중학교(교장 황현주)는 12월 31일 교내에서 '2025 A.I. SCIENCE Festival'을 개최했다. 학교 측은 인공지능, 가상현실, 증강현실, 메타버스, 코딩, 친환경 에너지 등을 주제로 한 체험형 과학축제를 운영했다. 총 20개 부스를 설치해 학생들이 미래 핵심 기술을 직접 경험하도록 구성했다.

◆ VR 비트세이버·고소공포 체험 인기

학생들은 VR 비트세이버와 고소공포 체험을 통해 가상현실 기술을 습득했다. 구글 카드보드를 활용한 VR 만들기 활동도 진행됐다. 스마트 글라스와 Z Space 체험으로 증강현실 기술을 직접 경험했다. 각 부스를 자유롭게 돌며 과학 원리를 이해하고 진로와 연계해 탐색하는 구조였다.

◆ "책으로만 본 기술 직접 체험"...학생 반응 긍정적

참가 학생들은 "책으로만 보던 기술을 직접 체험할 수 있어 재미있었다"며 "인공지능이 더 친근하게 느껴졌다"고 말했다. 다른 학생은 "과학과 진로를 함께 생각해볼 수 있는 유익한 시간이었다"고 평가했다. 황현주 교장은 "학생들이 미래를 주도적으로 준비할 수 있도록 체험 중심의 과학교육을 지속적으로 확대하겠다"고 밝혔다.

◆ VR Beat Saber and Acrophobia Experience Popular

Students acquired virtual reality technology skills through VR Beat Saber and acrophobia simulation experiences. VR creation activities using Google Cardboard were also conducted. Students directly experienced augmented reality technology through smart glasses and Z Space demonstrations. The structure allowed students to freely visit each booth to understand scientific principles and explore career paths in connection with science.

◆ "Direct Experience of Technology Only Seen in Books"...Student Response Positive

Participating students said, "It was fun to directly experience technology we only saw in books," and "Artificial intelligence felt more familiar to us." Another student evaluated it as "a beneficial time to think about science and career together." Principal Hwang Hyun-joo stated, "We will continue to expand experience-based science education so students can proactively prepare for the future."
