◆ 신청 기간 1월 5~16일 단축...신속 추진

예산군농업기술센터는 과수화상병 사전 예방을 위해 관내 사과·배 재배 농가 약 1100곳을 대상으로 방제약제를 무상 지원한다. 신청 접수는 1월 5일부터 16일까지다. 희망 농가는 읍면 행정복지센터를 통해 신청하면 된다.

◆ 연간 4회분 약제 공급...3월 초순 배포

센터는 월동기 1회, 개화기 2회, 생육기 1회 등 연 총 4회분의 과수화상병 사전방제 약제를 지원한다. 신청 농가에 약제 배포는 3월 초순경 진행된다. 이는 세균성 병해인 과수화상병의 전염력이 매우 강하고 감염 후 치료가 불가능하다는 점을 감안한 조치다.

◆ 예방이 최우선...센터 "적극 신청 당부"

과수화상병은 국가검역병해충으로 지정된 법정 금지병해다. 감염 시 사과나 배나무의 잎과 줄기, 꽃, 열매가 불에 탄 것처럼 말라 죽는다. 센터 관계자는 "과수화상병은 예방이 가장 중요한 병해인 만큼 신청 기간 내 약제를 꼭 신청해 달라"며 "지속적 홍보와 현장 지도를 통해 예방에 최선을 다하겠다"고 밝혔다.

◆ Application Registration Accelerated from January 5 to 16

Yesan County Agricultural Technology Center will provide free control agents for firelight blight to approximately 1,100 apple and pear farming households in the county to prevent the disease in advance. Application registration runs from January 5 through January 16. Interested farmers can apply through their respective eup-myeon administrative welfare centers.

◆ Four-Time Annual Supply of Agents...Distribution by Early March

The center plans to support four rounds of firelight blight prevention agents annually: one in the winter dormancy period, two during flowering, and one during the growth period. Distribution of agents to applicant farms is scheduled for early March. This measure reflects the fact that firelight blight, a bacterial disease, has extremely high transmission capability and cannot be treated once infection occurs.

◆ Prevention First Priority...Center Urges Active Application

Firelight blight is designated as a state quarantine pest disease and a legally prohibited disease. Upon infection, leaves, stems, flowers, and fruits of apple and pear trees wither and die as if burned by fire. A center official stated, "Since prevention is the most critical aspect of managing firelight blight, we urge farmers to submit their applications within the designated period," and added, "Through continuous promotion and on-site guidance, we will do our best to prevent this disease."
