◆ 매월 릴레이 방식 기탁으로 나눔 확대
보은군기업인협의회(회장 이숭철) 2024년 1월 시작한 기탁 챌린지 2년째 이어가고 있다. 보은군기업인협의회 2024년부터 2025년까지 장학금 형태 6400만 원 기탁한다. 2024년 12개 기업 3300만 원, 2025년 11개 기업 3100만 원 기탁했다. 매월 릴레이 방식으로 참여가 계속되고 있다.
◆ 개별 기업 선행, 협의회 공동 실천으로 확장
기탁 챌린지 보은군기업인협의회 주도 자발적 나눔 활동이다. 회원 기업들 매월 순차적으로 참여해 장학금 기탁한다. 참여 기업 수 기탁 금액 점차 확대되며, 일회성 후원이 아닌 지속 가능한 지역 환원 모델로 자리 잡았다. 협의회 회원 기업들 종전부터 장학금 성금 기탁으로 지역사회 기여했고, 이 같은 나눔 실천이 체계적인 운동으로 확장된 결과다.
◆ 지역 성장의 선순환 구조 완성
기탁금 지역 학생들 학업 지원과 인재 육성 재원으로 활용된다. 지역 기업 성장 성과를 다시 지역사회에 환원함으로써 기업과 지역 함께 성장하는 선순환 구조 만들어가고 있다. 보은군기업인협의회 현재 군내 22개 기업으로 구성되며, 기업 경쟁력 강화와 정보 교류는 물론 지역사회 공헌 활동 적극 추진한다. 협의회 앞으로 기탁 챌린지 지속 추진해 나눔 문화 정착과 지역 상생에 앞장설 계획이다.
최재형 보은군수는 "기업인들 자발적 참여로 시작된 기탁 챌린지 꾸준히 이어지며 지역사회에 큰 힘이 되고 있다"며 "기탁해 주신 소중한 뜻이 지역 미래 인재 키우는 밑거름이 될 수 있도록 책임 있게 사용하겠다"고 말했다.

The Boeun County Business Association (Chairman Lee Sung-chul) continues its donation challenge program launched in January 2024 into its second year. The association provides 64 million won in scholarship donations from 2024 through 2025. In 2024, 12 companies contributed 33 million won, and in 2025, 11 companies contributed 31 million won. Monthly relay-style participation continues.
◆ Individual Corporate Initiatives Expanded to Collective Action
The donation challenge represents a voluntary giving activity led by the Boeun County Business Association. Member companies participate sequentially each month to donate scholarships. Participating companies and donation amounts steadily expand, establishing itself as a sustainable local contribution model rather than one-time support. Previously, association member companies consistently contributed scholarships and donations to the local community, with this giving practice expanding into a systematic movement.
◆ Creating a Virtuous Cycle of Regional Growth
Donated funds support local students' academic advancement and talent development. Local companies return growth benefits to their communities, creating a virtuous cycle where businesses and regions grow together. The Boeun County Business Association currently comprises 22 companies within the county and actively pursues enterprise competitiveness enhancement, information exchange, and community contribution activities. The association plans to continue the donation challenge program to establish a sharing culture and lead regional mutual prosperity.
County Governor Choi Jae-hyung stated, "The donation challenge program initiated through voluntary business participation continues steadily, providing substantial support to the local community. We will responsibly use the valuable donations to become a foundation for nurturing the region's future talent."
