◆ 서민 음식 상승폭 더 커

김밥, 자장면, 김치찌개 백반 등 서민들이 즐겨 먹는 주요 외식 메뉴 가격이 최근 1년 새 줄줄이 올랐다. 27일 한국소비자원 가격정보포털 '참가격'에 따르면 지난 11월 기준 충북 지역 주요 외식 메뉴 8개 가격은 평균 3.1% 상승했다. 부담 없이 즐길 수 있는 서민 음식의 상승폭이 더 컸다. 자장면이 가장 큰 폭으로 올랐다. 지난해 11월 6천286원에서 올해 11월 6천857원으로 9.1% 인상됐다. 김밥 한 줄은 2천929원에서 3천143원으로 7.3% 뛰었다. 김치찌개 백반은 8천571원에서 9천 원으로 5.0%, 비빔밥은 9천171원에서 9천457원으로 3.1% 각각 상승했다.

◆ 고환율·쌀값 급등이 주요 원인

삼겹살(2.1%), 삼계탕(1.9%), 냉면(1.6%), 칼국수(0.9%) 가격도 일제히 올랐다. 자장면 가격 인상에는 고환율이 영향을 미쳤다. 밀가루, 식용유, 설탕 등 식재료의 상당 부분을 수입에 의존하기 때문이다. 김밥, 김치찌개 백반, 비빔밥 가격 인상에는 쌀값 상승이 한몫했다. 충북 기준 쌀 1포대(20㎏)는 지난달 6만3천248원을 기록했다. 1년 전 5만6천567원과 비교하면 11.8%(6천681원) 급등한 수치다.

◆ "점심값 부담에 혼밥 하고 싶다"

원재료 가격과 인건비 상승, 고환율 기조가 이어지며 서민들의 외식비 부담이 커지고 있다. 청주시민 이모 씨는 "배달료와 커피까지 먹는다고 치면 1만 원짜리 한 장으로 점심을 해결할 수 없다"고 토로했다. 그는 "회사 후배들과 같이 식사할 때면 점심값이 부담돼 '혼밥'을 하고 싶을 정도"라고 덧붙였다.

◆ Affordable Foods Show Larger Price Increases

Prices of major dining out menu items favored by ordinary citizens, including gimbap, jajangmyeon, and kimchi jjigae with rice, have risen across the board over the past year. According to the Korea Consumer Agency's price information portal 'Chamgagyeok' on December 25, prices of eight major dining out menu items in the Chungbuk region rose 3.1% on average as of November. Affordable foods favored by ordinary citizens showed larger increases. Jajangmyeon saw the largest increase, rising 9.1% from 6,286 won in November last year to 6,857 won in November this year. One roll of gimbap jumped 7.3% from 2,929 won to 3,143 won. Kimchi jjigae with rice rose 5.0% from 8,571 won to 9,000 won, and bibimbap rose 3.1% from 9,171 won to 9,457 won.

◆ High Exchange Rate and Surging Rice Prices Are Main Causes

Prices of samgyeopsal (2.1%), samgyetang (1.9%), naengmyeon (1.6%), and kalguksu (0.9%) also rose across the board. The high exchange rate affected jajangmyeon price increases because a substantial portion of ingredients such as flour, cooking oil, and sugar depend on imports. Rising rice prices contributed to price increases for gimbap, kimchi jjigae with rice, and bibimbap. A 20kg bag of rice in Chungbuk recorded 63,248 won last month. This represents an 11.8% surge (6,681 won) compared to 56,567 won a year ago.

◆ "Lunch Costs So Burdensome I Want to Eat Alone"

Rising raw material prices, labor costs, and the continuing high exchange rate trend are increasing dining out burdens for ordinary citizens. Cheongju resident Lee lamented, "If you include delivery fees and coffee, you can't solve lunch with a single 10,000 won bill." He added, "When I eat with junior colleagues at work, lunch costs are so burdensome that I want to eat alone."
