◆ 특교세 1억 5000만 원, 포상금 500만 원 확보
이번 표창으로 당진시는 행정안전부 특별교부세 사업비 1억 5000만 원과 포상금 500만 원을 확보했다. 재난관리 분야 우수 실적이 재정 지원으로 이어진 것이다.
◆ 청년자율방재단 구성, 지역사회 재난관리 강화
당진시가 지원하는 당진시자율방재단은 재난 예방과 복구 등 지역사회 재난관리 활동 공로를 인정받아 행정안전부 장관 단체 표창을 수상했다. 당진시는 2024년 충청남도 최초로 청년자율방재단을 구성했으며, 이같은 활동 성과로 행정안전부 장관 단체 표창을 받았다. 시 관계자는 "지난해부터 올해까지 집중호우로 어려움을 겪었지만, 우리 지역의 재난 극복 노력이 외부에서 인정받았다"며 "앞으로 민관군경소방 등 지역사회 각계각층이 협력해 재난 피해를 예방하겠다"고 말했다.

◆ Youth Autonomous Disaster Prevention Group Established, Regional Disaster Management Strengthened
The Dangjin City Autonomous Disaster Prevention Group, supported by Dangjin City, received recognition for its disaster prevention and recovery efforts and regional disaster management activities, earning the Presidential Commendation for Groups from the Minister of Interior and Safety. Dangjin City became the first in Chungcheongnam-do Province to establish a Youth Autonomous Disaster Prevention Group in 2024, and received the Presidential Commendation for Groups from the Minister of Interior and Safety based on such activities. A city official stated, "Although we faced difficulties from heavy rain last year and this year, the efforts to overcome disasters in our region have been recognized externally. In the future, all sectors of our community, including the government, military, police, and fire departments, will cooperate to prevent disaster damage," the official said.
