천안시 26일 발표에 따르면 올해 각종 기관평가에서 97건 표창을 받았다. 역대 최다 수상 기록이다. 중앙부처 44건 충청남도 30건 기타 기관·단체 23건이다. 천안시 2022년 67건 2023년 78건 2024년 86건을 기록했다. 매년 최다 수상 기록을 경신했다.
◆ 대통령상·국무총리 표창 수상
천안시 보건복지부 주관 '2025년 드림스타트 사업운영 평가'에서 2년 연속 최우수기관으로 선정됐다. 대통령상을 수상했다. 행정안전부 주관 '2025 지역균형발전 및 지역활성화 유공' 공중화장실 부문에서 대통령 표창을 받았다. 국무총리 표창은 2025년 공무원 노사문화 우수행정기관 2025년 국가상징 선양 및 정부행사 유공 2025년 재난관리평가 등이다.
◆ 7년 연속 정부혁신 우수기관 선정
천안시 7년 연속 정부혁신 우수기관으로 선정됐다. 3년 연속 적극행정 종합평가 우수기관으로 장관상을 수상했다. 전국 지방자치단체 일자리대상 지역일자리 목표 공시제 부문 장관상을 받았다. 민생회복 소비쿠폰 집행 우수지자체 청년친화헌정대상 종합대상 장애인복지사업 평가 화학사고 지역대비체계 우수사례 경진대회 재난대응 안전한국훈련 등에서 우수기관으로 선정됐다.
◆ 충남 평가 및 전국 경쟁력 3위
충청남도 주관 평가에서 특별사법경찰 업무추진 유공 민관협치 우수사례 발굴 경진대회 충남 공무원 드론 조종 경진 등에서 최우수기관으로 선정됐다. '2025 한국지방자치경쟁력지수(KLCI)' 조사에서 2년 연속 전국 기초 시 종합경쟁력 3위를 기록했다. 비수도권 도시 중 가장 높은 순위다. 천안시 올해 사업비 및 시상금 등 총 12억 3113만 8000원을 확보했다.
김석필 천안시장 권한대행 부시장은 "역대 최다 기관표창 성과는 시민 참여와 관심 속에 공직자가 한마음으로 거둔 결과"라며 "내년에도 적극적인 행정혁신을 통해 시민 모두가 체감할 수 있는 변화를 이어가겠다"고 말했다.

Cheonan City Receives 97 Institutional Awards This Year Setting All-Time Record
Annual record broken since 67 awards in 2022 securing total of 1.23 billion won
Cheonan City announced on December 26 that it received 97 awards from various institutional evaluations this year. This is the highest number of awards in its history. The city received 44 awards from central government ministries 30 from South Chungcheong Province and 23 from other organizations. Cheonan City recorded 67 awards in 2022 78 in 2023 and 86 in 2024. The city has broken its award record every year.
◆ Presidential Award and Prime Minister Citation
Cheonan City was selected as the best institution for two consecutive years in the '2025 Dream Start Project Operation Evaluation' hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. The city received the Presidential Award. The city also received a Presidential Citation in the public restroom category of the '2025 Regional Balanced Development and Regional Revitalization Merit' hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. Prime Minister Citations include 2025 Excellent Administrative Organization for Civil Servant Labor-Management Culture 2025 National Symbol Promotion and Government Event Merit and 2025 Disaster Management Evaluation.
◆ Selected as Excellent Government Innovation Institution for 7 Consecutive Years
Cheonan City was selected as an excellent government innovation institution for seven consecutive years. The city received a ministerial award as an excellent institution in the comprehensive evaluation of proactive administration for three consecutive years. The city received a ministerial award in the regional job target disclosure system category at the National Local Government Job Awards. The city was selected as an excellent institution in areas including excellent local government for livelihood recovery consumption coupon execution Youth-Friendly Constitutional Award Grand Prize disability welfare project evaluation chemical accident regional preparedness system best practice competition and disaster response Safe Korea training.
◆ South Chungcheong Evaluation and National Competitiveness Rank 3rd
In evaluations hosted by South Chungcheong Province the city was selected as the best institution in special judicial police work promotion merit public-private governance best practice discovery competition and South Chungcheong civil servant drone operation competition. In the '2025 Korea Local Government Competitiveness Index (KLCI)' survey the city ranked 3rd in overall competitiveness among basic cities nationwide for two consecutive years. This is the highest ranking among non-metropolitan cities. Cheonan City secured a total of 1.23 billion won in project costs and prize money this year.
Kim Seok-pil Acting Mayor and Vice Mayor of Cheonan City said "The achievement of the highest number of institutional awards is the result of public officials working together with citizen participation and interest" and added "Next year we will continue to make changes that all citizens can feel through active administrative innovation."
