◆ 예결위 내년 예산안 심사 완료
충남 천안시의회가 18일 제284회 제2차 정례회 기간 중 예산결산특별위원회 제2차 회의를 열었다. 예결위는 내년도 일반 및 특별회계 예산안과 기금운용계획안을 심사했다. 이번 예산안은 지난 9일부터 17일까지 각 상임위원회에서 소관 부서별 예비 심사를 거쳐 회부된 안건이다.
◆ 14억9510만원 삭감 의결
예결위는 집행부가 제출한 2조4900억원 규모 일반·특별회계에서 14억9510만원을 삭감했다. 수정 의결 금액은 약 2조4885억원이다. 기금운영계획안은 원안 가결했다. 삭감 항목은 대중교통과 시내버스 비수익노선 손실 보조사업 5억원, 청년정책과 청년 만남 활성화 지원사업 2억원 등이다.
◆ 박종갑 위원장 "선택과 집중 중요"
박종갑 예결위원장은 "어려운 시민 경제와 시 재정 여건 속에서 '선택과 집중'이 그 어느 때보다 중요한 시점"이라고 말했다. 박 위원장은 "시민 복리증진과 지역 발전을 위해 예산이 효율적이고 꼼꼼하게 집행될 수 있도록 내년에도 최선의 의정활동을 펼쳐 나가겠다"고 밝혔다. 이날 심사된 예산안은 19일 제4차 본회의에서 최종 의결될 예정이다.

◆ Budget Committee Completes Next Year's Budget Review
Cheonan City Council in South Chungcheong Province held the 2nd meeting of the Budget and Accounts Special Committee during the 284th 2nd Regular Session on December 18. The committee reviewed the general and special account budget and fund management plan for next year. This budget proposal was submitted after preliminary reviews by each standing committee from December 9 to 17.
◆ 1.495 Billion Won Reduction Approved
The Budget Committee cut 1.495 billion won from the 2.49 trillion won general and special accounts submitted by the administration. The revised approved amount is approximately 2.4885 trillion won. The fund management plan was passed as originally proposed. Cut items include 500 million won for the city bus non-profitable route loss subsidy project under the Public Transportation Division and 200 million won for the youth meeting activation support project under the Youth Policy Division.
◆ Chairman Park Jong-gap: "Selection and Concentration Important"
Budget Committee Chairman Park Jong-gap said, "At a time of difficult citizen economy and city financial conditions, 'selection and concentration' is more important than ever." Chairman Park stated, "I will continue to do my best in legislative activities next year so that the budget can be executed efficiently and meticulously for citizen welfare and regional development." The budget reviewed on this day is scheduled for final approval at the 4th plenary session on December 19.
