추풍령초등학교(교장 장미현)는 17일부터 19일까지 3일간 전교생을 대상으로 동계스포츠 문화체험을 운영했다. 학생 발달단계를 고려해 유치원 및 1-2학년은 눈썰매체험, 3-6학년은 스키캠프로 나누어 진행했다.

◆ 유치원·저학년 눈썰매, 고학년 스키캠프 실시

유치원과 1-2학년 학생은 18일 낭추골 눈썰매장에서 1일 체험을 실시했다. 학생들은 겨울놀이활동을 통해 눈과 친숙해지고 질서를 지키며 놀이를 즐기는 경험을 쌓았다. 3-6학년 학생은 17일부터 19일까지 강원도 정선 하이원 리조트에서 2박 3일 스키캠프에 참여했다. 전문 강사의 수준별 지도 아래 체계적인 강습을 받았으며, 저학년은 기초 자세부터 턴 동작까지 연습했다. 고학년은 설원 위를 활주했다.

◆ 도전정신과 협동심 함양

이번 체험은 학생들에게 신체 활동을 통한 건강증진, 도전정신, 협동심, 공동체 의식을 기르는 교육의 기회가 됐다. 참가 학생은 "처음에는 무서웠지만 끝까지 해내서 뿌듯했다", "친구들과 함께해서 더 재미있었다"고 말했다. 추풍령초등학교는 앞으로도 학생 성장 단계에 맞춘 안전하고 의미있는 체험 중심 교육활동을 지속적으로 운영할 계획이다.

Kindergarten and grades 1-2 students conducted a one-day experience at Nangchugol Sledding Slope on December 18. Students became familiar with snow through winter play activities and gained experience following rules and enjoying recreational activities. Grade 3-6 students participated in a two-night, three-day ski camp at High1 Resort in Jeongseon, Gangwon Province from December 17 to 19. Under instruction from professional instructors, students received systematic training. Lower grades practiced from basic posture to turning techniques. Upper grades practiced skiing on snow-covered slopes.

The experience provided students with opportunities for health promotion through physical activity, fostering spirit of challenge, cooperation, and sense of community. Participating students said, "At first I was scared, but I felt proud finishing it," and "It was more fun being with friends."
