◆ 학생들이 직접 만든 선물, 경찰서에 전달

충북 옥천 삼양초등학교가 12일 학생들이 직접 제작한 석고방향제 80개를 옥천경찰서 여성청소년계에 기부했다. 윤혜신 교장이 이끄는 삼양초는 교육복지 지역사회 재능기부 활동의 일환으로 이번 기부를 추진했다. 증평초·삼보초·용천초 등 교육복지사업 운영학교 4곳이 함께 진행한 공동사업이다.

◆ 손편지에 담긴 경찰관들의 응원

학생들은 석고방향제와 함께 정성껏 쓴 손편지를 건넸다. 편지에는 경찰관들을 향한 감사와 응원의 마음이 담겨 있었다. 옥천경찰서 여성청소년계 관계자는 "학생들이 정성을 들여 준비한 선물을 받아 큰 힘이 됐다"고 말했다. 이어 경찰관들은 여성청소년계의 주요 업무와 역할을 학생들에게 설명하며 의미 있는 소통의 시간을 가졌다.

◆ 나눔의 가치를 실천하는 교육

윤혜신 교장은 "학생들의 재능이 지역사회에 선한 영향력을 전하는 기회가 됐다"며 "앞으로도 나눔과 배려의 가치를 실천하는 교육복지 사업을 지속 추진하겠다"고 밝혔다. 이번 활동은 학생들이 자신의 재능을 지역사회에 환원하는 기회를 제공했다는 점에서 교육적 의미를 갖는다.

Samyang Elementary School in Okcheon, Chungcheongbuk-do donated 80 gypsum air fresheners handmade by students to the Women and Youth Division of Okcheon Police Station on the 12th. Under the leadership of Principal Yoon Hye-shin, Samyang Elementary carried out the donation as part of its educational welfare and community talent donation activities. The initiative was jointly promoted by four schools operating educational welfare projects: Jeungpyeong Elementary, Sambo Elementary, and Yongcheon Elementary.

◆ Handwritten letters carrying gratitude and encouragement

Students delivered handwritten letters along with the gypsum air fresheners, expressing gratitude and encouragement for the police officers. An official from the Women and Youth Division of Okcheon Police Station said, "We felt greatly encouraged by the thoughtfully prepared gifts from the students." Police officers then shared information about the division's main duties and roles with students, creating a meaningful time of communication.
