◆ 조성 완료

예산군이 내포 제2진입도로 시작 지점인 삽교읍 삽교교차로 일원에 1㏊ 규모의 기후대응도시숲 조성을 완료했다. 삽교교차로는 내포신도시로 진입하는 초입으로 일일 교통량이 많은 거점이다. 예산군은 이 지역의 미세먼지 저감과 도로 경관 개선을 목표로 도시숲 사업을 추진했다.

◆ 식재 현황

총 사업비 100억원을 투입했다. 이 중 국비 50억원이 포함됐다. 소나무와 스트로브잣나무 등 교목 8종 398그루를 식재했다. 꽃댕강 등 관목 10종 1만910그루를 식재했다. 두 종류 모두 지역 기후 특성에 맞춰 선정된 수종이다.

◆ 기대 효과

예산군 관계자는 "폭염 등 기후 변화가 일상화되고 있다"며 "도시숲을 지속적으로 확대해 미세먼지 저감과 탄소 흡수 기반을 강화하겠다"고 밝혔다. 이번 조성으로 도로 경관 개선 효과도 기대된다.

◆ Completion of Construction

Yesan-gun completed the formation of a climate response urban forest covering 1 hectare at Sapgyo Intersection in Sapgyo-eup, the starting point of the Naepo Second Approach Road. Sapgyo Intersection serves as an entry point to Naepo New City and experiences heavy daily traffic volume. Yesan-gun pursued the urban forest project with the goal of reducing fine dust and improving road landscape in this area.

◆ Planting Status

Total project cost of 10 billion won was invested. National funding of 5 billion won was included. Eight species of large trees including pine and strobus pine totaling 398 trees were planted. Ten species of shrubs including flower dogwood totaling 10,910 trees were planted. Both types of species were selected to match regional climate characteristics.

◆ Expected Effects

An official from Yesan-gun stated, "Climate change including heat waves is becoming commonplace," and added "we will continuously expand urban forests to reduce fine dust and strengthen the carbon absorption base." The formation is also expected to improve road landscape aesthetics.
