충북 영동군이 12월 12일부터 레인보우영동페이 충전 한도를 120만원에서 160만원으로 상향한다. 영동군은 소비 위축과 경기 침체로 어려움을 겪는 소상공인을 지원하고 군민 소비를 촉진하기 위해 이 조치를 결정했다.
상향된 한도로 12월 한 달간 160만원을 모두 충전·사용할 경우 캐시백(적립률 15%)으로 24만원을 적립받는다. 이는 11월 대비 6만원을 추가로 확보하는 규모다.
◆ 2,298개 가맹점서 사용...지역경제 파급효과 기대
레인보우영동페이는 영동군 내 전통시장, 음식점, 카페, 미용실 등 2,298개 가맹점에서 사용 가능하다. 영동군은 충전 한도와 캐시백 혜택 확대가 신규 가입자 증가와 소비 촉진으로 이어지며, 지역 소상공인 매출 상승을 통해 지역경제 전반에 긍정적 영향을 미칠 것으로 분석하고 있다.
◆ 내년도 지속적 강화...예산 집중 투입
영동군 관계자는 "정부 2차 추경을 통해 확보한 예산을 지역경제 활성화에 최대한 활용하기 위해 한도 확대를 결정했다"고 설명했다. 군은 내년에도 충전 한도와 캐시백 혜택을 지속적으로 강화해 군민 가계 부담 완화와 소상공인 매출 증가, 지역경제 활성화에 기여하겠다는 방침이다.

Youngjong County, Chungbuk will raise the charging limit of Rainbow Youngjong Pay from 1.2 million won to 1.6 million won starting December 12th. Youngjong County made this decision to support small business owners facing difficulties due to weakened consumption and economic slowdown, and to promote rational spending by residents.
With the raised limit, if residents charge and use 1.6 million won throughout December, they can accumulate 240,000 won in cashback (accumulation rate 15%). This represents an additional 600,000 won compared to November.
◆ Usable at 2,298 Affiliated Stores...Expected Local Economic Ripple Effect
Rainbow Youngjong Pay can be used at 2,298 affiliated stores in Youngjong County, including traditional markets, restaurants, cafes, and beauty salons. Youngjong County analyzes that expanded charging limits and cashback benefits lead to increased new subscribers and stimulated consumption, resulting in increased sales for local small business owners and a positive ripple effect on the overall local economy.
◆ Continuous Enhancement Next Year...Concentrated Budget Investment
A Youngjong County official stated, "We decided to expand the limit to maximize the budget secured through the government's second supplementary budget for revitalizing the local economy." The county plans to continuously strengthen charging limits and cashback benefits next year to reduce the financial burden on residents' households and contribute to increased sales for small business owners and revitalization of the local economy.
