◆ 출생아 수 4년 만에 5천명 돌파

청주시는 11월 말 기준 올해 출생아 5천24명을 기록했다. 연간 출생아 수 5천명을 넘어선 경우는 2021년 5천192명 이후 4년 만이다. 전년 동월 대비 13.6% 증가했으며, 인구 50만명 이상 전국 시·군·구 중 출생아 수 증가율 1위 자리를 차지했다. 11월 기준 올해 출생아 5천명을 넘긴 지역은 전국 229개 시·군·구 중 경기도 화성시를 포함한 5개 도시다. 비수도권에서는 청주시가 유일하다.

청주시는 이번 성과를 '아이 키우기 좋은 도시' 조성 정책의 결과로 분석한다. 임산부 심리지원, 난임부부 시술비 지원, 임산부 산후조리비 지원을 시행 중이다. 다함께돌봄센터 운영을 확대했으며, 야간연장 어린이집과 시간제 보육으로 취약시간 돌봄 서비스를 강화했다.

올해부터 청년층 결혼 비용 및 주거비 부담 경감을 위해 결혼비용 대출 이자 지원 사업을 도입했다. 출산가정 대출이자 사업, 초다자녀 가정지원, 다태아조제분유사업 등 경제적 혜택을 신규 추진 중이다.

◆ 내년 신규사업 확대… 다둥이가정 지원 강화

청주시는 저출생 대응 시군경진대회 특별조정교부금으로 다둥이가정 렌터카 지원사업 등을 내년 추진한다. 임산부 힐링복합공간 태교랜드 조성(예정), 물놀이장 및 눈썰매장, 실내형 공공놀이터 건립 계획을 진행 중이다. 청주랜드 콘텐츠 강화, 어린이국민체육센터 건립(예정)으로 아동 놀이권을 보장한다.

Starting this year, Cheongju introduced wedding loan interest subsidies to reduce financial burdens for young couples regarding marriage costs and housing. The city newly implements childbirth family loan interest programs, support for families with three or more children, and powdered formula assistance for multiples.

◆ Next Year Expansion Plans... Enhanced Support for Multi-Child Families

Cheongju plans to launch rental car support programs for multi-child families next year using special adjustment grants from the low-birthrate response inter-city competition. The city advances plans for pregnant women wellness complex facilities with prenatal education centers (planned), water play areas and sledding slopes, and indoor public playgrounds. Content enhancement for Cheongju Land and children's national athletic centers (planned) will guarantee children's right to play.

Mayor Lee Beom-seok stated, "This represents meaningful achievements from our 'Child-Friendly City' policy," and added, "We will actively pursue related policies next year."
