◆ 고구려 정체성 강화…체험형 콘텐츠 확대
축제 핵심 전략인 '고구려 정체성 강화'가 본격적으로 성과를 거뒀다. 개막 출정식, 고구려 의복 착용, 엽전 환전소 운영 등 체험형 콘텐츠가 확대됐다. 온달·평강 승전퍼레이드, 고구려 복식 퓨전 패션쇼, 온달산성 탐방, 온달·평강 등(燈) 연출 등 프로그램은 방문객 몰입감을 높였다. 방문객 종합 만족도는 7점 만점에 6.24점으로 전년(5.88점)보다 0.36점 상승했다.
◆ 주민 참여 확대, 공동체 가치 강화
지역 주민이 주도하는 전통공연이 관객 호응을 얻었다. 장원봉 소금단지 연극, 진풀이 농악공연 등이 인기를 모았다. 자매결연처 직거래장터 등 지역과 함께 운영하는 프로그램은 축제의 의미를 더했다. 공예·만들기 등 24종 가족 체험 프로그램은 세대 간 참여 범위를 넓혔고, 방문객 체류시간 증가와 재방문 의사 향상에 기여했다. 평가보고서는 향후 과제로 야간 프로그램 강화, 2030 세대 참여 확대, 안내·동선 정비, 시설 개선 등을 제시했다.

Programs including the Ondal and Pyeonggang victory parade, Goguryeo costume fusion fashion show, Ondalsan Fortress exploration, and Ondal and Pyeonggang lantern displays enhanced visitor immersion. ◆ Expanded resident participation strengthens community values
Traditional performances led by local residents gained audience approval. The Jangwonbong salt jar play and Jinpuri nongak (farmers' folk music and dance) performances gained popularity. Programs jointly operated with sister cities, including direct transaction markets, added meaning to the festival. Twenty-four types of family experience programs including crafts and making activities widened intergenerational participation and contributed to increased visitor length of stay and improved intent to revisit. The evaluation report suggested future tasks including strengthening nighttime programs, expanding participation of the 2030 generation, improving guidance and traffic flow, and facility improvements.
