◆ 점검 일정 및 범위
금산군 위생매립장이 동절기를 앞두고 운영설비 점검을 실시한다. 점검 기간은 24일부터 27일까지 4일간이며, 추부면 용지리 430에 위치한 위생매립장과 침출수처리장을 대상으로 진행된다.

2018년까지 생활폐기물을 직매립하던 방식에서 2019년 5월 생활폐기물 소각시설 가동을 시작하면서 운영 방식이 전환됐다. 현재는 소각재와 동물사체만 매립하고 있다. 이 같은 변화로 향후 50년 이상 사용이 가능할 것으로 금산군은 예상하고 있다.

금산군 관계자는 "체계적이고 안정적인 위생매립장 운영을 위해 노력하고 있다"며 "침출수처리시설 기계설비의 점검 및 매립시설물의 철저한 관리를 통해 매립연한을 늘릴 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다"고 밝혔다.

Geumsan County Sanitary Landfill launches comprehensive operating equipment inspection ahead of winter. The inspection period runs from December 24 to 27 for four days, targeting the sanitary landfill and leachate treatment facility located at 430 Yongji-ri, Chubu-myeon.
Inspection targets include leachate transfer pumps, transfer pipes, and pump control panels within the sanitary landfill. At the leachate treatment facility, inspectors verify normal operation of various pumps, blowers, centrifugal dehydrators, measurement instruments, control panels, and power distribution panels.
◆ Landfill Scale and Current Operations
The sanitary landfill covers a site area of 46,937㎡ with a capacity of 474,937㎥. Landfill completion reaches 225,834㎥ to date.
Operations shifted from direct municipal waste landfilling until 2018 to launching a municipal waste incineration facility in May 2019. The facility currently landfills only incineration ash and animal carcasses. Geumsan County projects operations will continue for more than 50 years based on this operational change.
