청주고인쇄박물관은 19일(현지시간)까지 독일 프랑크푸르트 국제도서전(10.15.~10.19.)에 참가해 세계기록유산 '직지'의 가치와 금속활자의 우수성을 알린다. 국가유산청이 주관하는 2025년 세계기록유산 홍보지원사업 공모에 선정되며 추진했다. 박물관은 도서전에서 직지 영인본을 전시한다. 영인본은 원본을 사진 등의 방법으로 복제한 인쇄물이다.
◆ 디지털 책·체험 프로그램 운영
박물관은 직지를 디지털 화면에 담아 책장을 넘기듯 구현한 디지털 책을 선보인다. 다양한 체험 프로그램을 운영한다. 박물관 관계자는 "이번 국제도서전 참가를 계기로 우리나라의 자랑스러운 문화유산인 '직지'에 대한 가치를 많은 이들이 함께 누릴 수 있기를 바란다"고 말했다.

독일 프랑크푸르트 국제도서전은 1949년부터 시작한 세계 최대 규모의 도서전이다. 매년 7천여개 출판사 및 30만명의 관람객이 참여한다.
