청주시는 무심천 꽃정원에 식재한 가을꽃이 만개했다고 15일 밝혔다.
3개소 꽃정원 조성…8만본 식재
시가 조성한 꽃정원은 흥덕대교 일원 6,900㎡, 용평교~방서교 일원 1,000㎡, 롤러스케이트장 2,000㎡ 등 3개소다.
흥덕대교 일원 꽃정원은 9월 초 계절꽃 8종 8만본을 식재했다. 9월 말 시에서 직영 운영하는 꽃묘장에서 생산한 국화 약 5천본을 심었다.
용평교~방서교 일원 꽃정원은 황화코스모스가 활짝 폈다. 롤러스케이트장 튤립정원에는 황화코스모스와 숙근버베나가 조화를 이루고 있다.
11월 초까지 감상 가능…튤립정원은 10월 말 재조성
만개한 꽃정원은 11월 초까지 감상할 수 있을 전망이다.
다만 롤러스케이트장 인근 튤립정원은 튤립 구근 식재 일정으로 인해 10월 말 조성작업에 돌입한다.
시 관계자는 "가을꽃이 만개한 무심천 꽃정원을 많은 시민들께서 즐기시기 바란다"고 말했다.
그는 "무심천이 아름다운 추억을 쌓는 공간이 되도록 앞으로도 정원 운영에 힘쓰겠다"고 덧붙였다.

The flower gardens created by the city are located in three areas: 6,900㎡ near Heungdeok Bridge, 1,000㎡ between Yongpyeong Bridge and Bangseo Bridge, and 2,000㎡ at the roller skating rink.
The flower garden near Heungdeok Bridge planted 80,000 plants of 8 seasonal flower species in early September. At the end of September, approximately 5,000 chrysanthemums produced at the city's directly operated flower nursery were planted.
The flower garden between Yongpyeong Bridge and Bangseo Bridge is filled with blooming yellow cosmos. The tulip garden at the roller skating rink features a harmonious blend of yellow cosmos and verbena.
Viewable Until Early November…Tulip Garden to Be Recreated at End of October
The flower garden in full bloom is expected to be viewable until early November.
However, the tulip garden near the roller skating rink will begin reconstruction work at the end of October due to the tulip bulb planting schedule.
A city official said, "We hope many citizens will enjoy the Musimcheon Flower Garden with autumn flowers in full bloom."
He added, "We will continue to work hard on garden management so that Musimcheon becomes a space where beautiful memories are created."
