영동군, 병오년 새해 설계도 확인, 빈틈없는 군정 추진 .사진/영동군

충북 영동군이 2026년 새해 군정운영 방향을 확정했다. 정영철 영동군수는 5일부터 6일까지 이틀간 군청 상황실에서 2026년도 주요업무 추진계획 보고회를 주재했다.

◆ 22개 부서·문화관광재단 업무계획 보고

이번 보고회에는 각 부서 팀장들이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다. 22개 전 부서와 영동군 문화관광재단이 부서별 비전, 팀별 전략목표, 주요 이행과제를 직접 보고했다. 올해 문화관광재단이 처음 업무보고에 포함되면서 군과 재단의 협업을 통한 문화·관광 정책 추진이 강화될 전망이다.

◆ 국악문화도시·스마트농업 등 11개 핵심사업 추진

영동군이 올해 추진할 주요 핵심사업은 국악문화도시 No.1 영동 만들기, 영동 종합관광 안내 정보센터 건립사업, 영동 스마트농업 육성발전 전략사업 추진, 영동군 공설 추모공원 조성 등이다. 추가로 디지털 영동문화대전 편찬사업, 영동 청소년 꿈둥지 조성사업, 생활폐기물 소각시설 설치사업, 월류봉 둘레길~백화산 등산로 조성사업, 농촌협약 공모사업 추진, 신재생에너지 융복합지원사업 추진 등 11개 사업을 진행한다. 또한 지방상수도 노후상수도관망 정비사업, 영동(상촌) 지하수저류댐 설치사업, 농업인 스마트교육 및 종합실습장 리모델링, 무인방제 활용 과수 종합관리기술 구축 시범사업도 추진된다.

◆ 정영철 군수 "군민 체감 성과 창출에 집중"

정영철 영동군수는 보고회에서 직원들에게 "군민이 체감할 수 있는 성과를 창출하기 위해 적극적으로 업무에 임하며 모든 사업이 차질 없이 진행될 수 있도록 철저히 계획하고 실행할 것"을 당부했다. 이어 "전 직원이 한마음 한뜻으로 활기차게 군정을 추진하는 한 해가 되길 바란다"고 말했다. 영동군은 군정 비전인 '함께하는 군민, 살맛나는 영동' 실현을 위해 군민 삶의 질 향상과 지역발전 토대 조성에 집중한다.

Department and team leaders participated in the report. All 22 departments and the Yeongdong County Cultural Tourism Foundation submitted their departmental visions, team-level strategic objectives, and major implementation tasks. With the Cultural Tourism Foundation included in business reports for the first time this year, collaboration between the county and foundation in promoting culture and tourism policies is expected to strengthen.

◆ 11 Core Projects Including National Music Culture City and Smart Agriculture

Major core projects for Yeongdong County this year include creating a National Music Culture City No.1 in Yeongdong, constructing a comprehensive tourism information center, promoting smart agriculture development strategy, and establishing a county public memorial park. Additionally, the county will implement 11 projects including digital Yeongdong culture compilation, youth dream nest project, installation of residential waste incineration facility, Wolryubong trail and Baekbwasan hiking trail construction, rural agreement project, and renewable energy convergence support project. The county will also pursue local waterworks aging pipe network maintenance project, Yeongdong (Sangchon) groundwater storage dam installation, farmer smart education and comprehensive training facility remodeling, and fruit comprehensive management technology demonstration using unmanned pesticide spraying.

◆ Governor Jung Young-chul..."Focus on Tangible Results for Residents"

At the report, Governor Jung Young-chul instructed staff to "engage actively in work to create tangible results that residents can feel, thoroughly plan and execute so all projects proceed without disruption." He added, "I hope this becomes a year where all employees pursue county administration vigorously with one heart and one purpose." Yeongdong County will focus on improving residents' quality of life and building a foundation for regional development to realize the county's vision of "Yeongdong where citizens work together and live well."
