공주시의회(의장 임달희)가 국민권익위원회 2025년도 공공기관 종합청렴도 평가에서 2등급을 획득했다. 전년도 3등급에서 1단계 상승한 결과다.
◆ 평가 규모와 기준
국민권익위원회는 전국 17개 시도 의회와 지방의회, 공직유관단체 총 709개 기관을 대상으로 평가했다. 평가 기준은 시민설문조사로 측정한 청렴체감도, 기관 반부패정책 실적의 청렴노력도, 부패사건 발생현황 감점을 반영한 부패실태 평가 세 항목이었다.
◆ 시민소통 강화의 성과
공주시의회는 시민과의 소통 과정에서 청렴 인식이 개선됐고, 의회 차원의 제도 정비와 내부 노력이 성과로 나타났다고 설명했다. 임달희 의장은 "이번 평가는 시민 눈높이에 맞춰 의회가 변화하려는 노력의 결과"라며 "청렴은 기본 가치인 만큼 앞으로도 투명하고 책임 있는 의정활동을 추진하겠다"고 밝혔다.

◆ Evaluation Scale and Standards
The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission evaluated 709 institutions nationwide, including 17 metropolitan and local legislative bodies and government-affiliated organizations. The evaluation criteria consisted of three components: the integrity perception index measured through citizen surveys, the integrity effort index reflecting anti-corruption policy implementation results, and the corruption status evaluation reflecting the occurrence and impact of corruption cases.
◆ Results of Enhanced Citizen Communication
Gongju City Council reported improvements in public integrity perception through strengthened communication with residents and attributed the achievement to institutional reforms and internal efforts at the council level. Chairperson Lim Dal-hee stated, "This evaluation result reflects the council's efforts to adapt to meet the expectations of residents," and added, "Integrity serves as a fundamental value, and the council will continue to pursue transparent and accountable legislative activities going forward."
