세종특별자치시교육청 학교지원본부는 12월 15일과 16일 이틀간 보림사(세종시 연서면)에서 면지역 초등학교 학생 135명을 대상으로 '지역자원연계 동지 전통문화 프로그램'을 운영했다.

이번 행사는 올해 4회째다. 학교지원본부는 지역의 전통문화 자원과 교육을 연계해 학교와 마을이 함께 성장하는 교육생태계 구축을 목표로 기획했다.

체험 프로그램은 세 가지로 구성됐다. △동짓날의 의미 학습 △팥죽 만들기 △전통 민속놀이 체험이다. 사회·도덕·실과·체육 등 다양한 교과와 연계한 체험 중심 학습으로 운영됐다.

이미자 학교지원본부장은 "지역의 인적·물적 자원을 활용한 교육활동은 학생들의 배움을 확장하고 마을과 학교가 함께 성장하는 기반이 된다"고 밝혔다. 이어 "앞으로도 교육공동체와 지역사회가 함께하는 연계 교육프로그램을 지원해 학생들의 전인적 성장을 뒷받침하겠다"고 덧붙였다.

학교지원본부는 지역 교육생태계 강화와 전통문화 기반의 체험 중심 학습을 통해 학생들에게 의미 있는 배움의 기회를 제공할 방침이다.

The Sejong Special Self-Governing City Office of Education operated a "Community-Linked Winter Solstice Traditional Culture Program" for 135 elementary school students from rural areas at Borimsa Temple in Yeonseomyeon, Sejong City on December 15 and 16.

This marks the fourth edition of the annual program. The Office of Education planned the event to build an educational ecosystem where schools and communities grow together by linking regional traditional cultural resources with education.

The experiential program consisted of three components: △learning the meaning of the winter solstice △making red bean porridge △experiencing traditional folk games. The program operated as experience-based learning linked to various subjects including social studies, moral education, practical arts, and physical education.

Lee Mi-ja, head of the Office of Education, stated, "Educational activities utilizing human and material resources in the region expand students' learning and serve as a foundation for schools and communities to grow together." She added, "Going forward, we will continue to support linked educational programs involving the educational community and local society to foster students' holistic development."

The Office of Education plans to provide students with meaningful learning opportunities by strengthening the local educational ecosystem and offering experience-based learning grounded in traditional culture.
