김태흠 충남도지사가 13일 천안 신부 문화공원에서 제10회 천안 세계 크리스마스 축제 개막식에 참석했다.

충남도와 천안시가 주최한 이번 축제는 천안시기독교총연합회와 천안세계크리스마스축제조직위원회가 주관했다. 개막식에는 도지사, 내빈, 시민 200여 명이 참석했다.

행사는 점등식과 개막공연으로 진행했다. 점핑엔젤스, 셀라오카리나, 유명지, 킬리아 앙상블, 남성 성악팀, 강신명·이유미, 마스길 중창단, 조이댄스, 여성 성악팀, 에클레시아, 로즈아나 등 11개 팀이 공연했다.

김태흠 도지사는 "'네 이웃을 네 몸과 같이 사랑하라'라는 말씀처럼 우리도 서로에게 손 내밀고 따뜻한 마음을 나누는 연말이 되길 바란다"고 말했다.

Cheonan Christmas Festival Opens

Gov. Kim Tae-heum shares Christmas spirit at Shinbu Culture Park on Dec. 13

Governor Kim Tae-heum of South Chungcheong Province attended the opening ceremony of the 10th Cheonan World Christmas Festival at Shinbu Culture Park in Cheonan on Dec. 13.

South Chungcheong Province and Cheonan City hosted the festival, organized by the Cheonan Christian Ministers' Council and the Cheonan World Christmas Festival Organizing Committee. The opening ceremony drew approximately 200 attendees, including the governor, guests, and residents.

The event consisted of a lighting ceremony and opening performances. Eleven teams performed, including Jumping Angels, Cello Ocarina, Yumyeongji, Cillia Ensemble, Men's Vocal Team, Gang Shin-myung and Lee Yu-mi, Masgil Choir, Joy Dance, Women's Vocal Team, Ecclesia, and Rosana.

Governor Kim said, "'Love your neighbor as yourself,' as the scripture teaches. I hope we all extend our hands to one another and share warm hearts during this year-end season."

The festival continues through Dec. 25.
