충청북도 진천군은 2025년 충청북도 통합건강증진사업 성과 평가에서 최우수기관으로 선정됐다. 진천군은 2021년부터 2022년(코로나19로 미개최)을 제외하고 4회 연속 최우수기관 지정을 달성했다.
◆ 외국인 건강관리 체계 구축이 주요 성과
선정 배경은 진천군 추진 외국인 주민 건강관리 체계 구축이 지역사회 건강 형평성 증진에 실질적 성과를 거두었다는 평가다. 진천군은 자가 건강관리 역량 강화 프로그램 운영, 지역자원 협력 기반 건강관리 지지체계 구축, 언어장벽 해소를 위한 다국어 건강자료 제작 등을 중점 추진했다. 외국인 근로자 인구 비중이 높은 지역 특성과 제조업 중심 산업구조를 반영한 맞춤형 기획과 다양한 기관 협력으로 지속가능한 건강관리 모델 구축 점이 우수사례로 인정받았다.
◆ 다문화 가족·아동 등 대상 확대 추진
진천군 건강증진과 주무관 윤희선은 "이번 최우수기관 선정은 보건소 노력과 함께 참여한 기업체 등 지역사회의 적극적 협력이 가능케 한 성과"라며 "앞으로 모든 군민 건강 증진을 위해 지속적으로 노력할 것"이라고 밝혔다. 진천군은 올해 구축한 외국인 중심 건강관리 체계를 기반으로 다문화 가족, 아동, 청소년 등 다양한 인구집단으로 대상 범위를 점진적으로 확대할 계획이다.

Jincheon County achieved four consecutive top-performing organization designations from 2021, excluding 2022 when the program did not proceed due to COVID-19.
◆ Foreign Resident Health Management System Structure Yields Key Results
The selection reflects substantial progress by Jincheon County's foreign resident health management system in advancing community health equity. Jincheon County prioritized operation of self-health management capacity enhancement programs, establishment of health management support systems based on local resource cooperation, and production of multilingual health materials to address language barriers. The county's tailored planning reflecting high foreign worker population ratios and manufacturing-focused industrial structure, combined with diverse institutional cooperation, earned recognition for establishing a sustainable health management model.
◆ Expanding Target Population to Multicultural Families and Youth
Yoon Hee-sun, official at Jincheon County's Health Promotion Division, stated, "This top-performing organization selection represents achievements possible through health center efforts and active cooperation from participating companies and local communities," and added, "We will continue working toward health advancement for all county residents." Based on the foreign resident-centered health management system established this year, Jincheon County plans to progressively expand target populations to include multicultural families, children, and youth.
