건설환경소방위, 충북안전체험관·옥천 재해위험개선지구 현장 방문
충북도의회 건설환경소방위원회(위원장 이태훈, 괴산)는 제429회 임시회 기간인 14일, 충북안전체험관과 옥천 재해위험개선지구 사업 현장을 방문해 도민 안전교육 인프라 운영 현황과 재해예방사업 추진 상황을 점검했다.
위원들은 먼저 안전체험 시설 점검을 위해 충북안전체험관을 찾아 화재 안전 체험과 심폐소생술 교육을 비롯해 지진, 버스·화재안전, 수난안전 등 27개 체험시설의 운영 현황과 안전관리 실태를 확인했다.
이어 위원들은 옥천군 서정리·군서면 일원에서 추진 중인 ‘옥천 월전지구 재해위험개선지구 정비사업’ 현장을 방문해 사업 추진 상황을 보고받고, 사업 추진상 문제점 및 향후 계획을 점검했다.

이 사업은 교량 신설과 접속도로 정비 등이 포함된 대규모 재해예방사업이다. 일부 공정이 계획보다 지연됐고, 설계 단계에서 지역 주민의 의견이 충분히 반영되지 않아 주민들의 불편이 발생했다.
이태훈 위원장은 "충북안전체험관은 도민이 직접 체험하며 배우는 생활 속 안전교육의 핵심 거점으로서, 실질적인 교육 효과를 높여 도민의 재난 대응 역량을 높일 수 있도록 힘써 달라"고 말했다.
박용규 의원(옥천2)은 "기후변화로 인해 국지성 집중호우가 잦아지는 만큼 재해위험 개선사업은 더 이상 지연되어서는 안 된다"며 "시설을 이용할 지역 주민들의 의견을 충분히 수렴해 교통안전에 문제가 없도록 최선을 다해 달라"고 당부했다.

The committee members visited the 'Okcheon Woljeon District Disaster Risk Improvement District Maintenance Project' site, which is being promoted in Seojeong-ri and Gunseo-myeon, Okcheon-gun. The committee members received a briefing on the project progress and reviewed problems in project promotion and future plans.
This project is a large-scale disaster prevention project that includes new bridge construction and access road maintenance. Some processes were delayed from the plan, and residents experienced inconvenience because residents' opinions were not sufficiently reflected in the design stage.
Chairman Lee Tae-hoon said, "The Chungbuk Safety Experience Center is a key base for daily safety education where residents can learn through direct experience, so please work hard to increase the practical educational effect and enhance residents' disaster response capabilities."
Assemblyman Park Yong-gyu (Okcheon 2) said, "As localized heavy rains become more frequent due to climate change, disaster risk improvement projects should not be delayed any longer," and asked, "Please do your best to ensure there are no traffic safety problems by fully collecting the opinions of local residents who will use the facilities."
