◆ 네 번째 초대 작가와 함께하는 문화예술 프로그램
천안제일고등학교(교장 황명주)는 12월 17일부터 26일까지 10일간 학교갤러리 프로그램을 운영한다. 이 프로그램은 학생 일상 공간을 전시 공간으로 확장해 예술 접근성을 높이는 사업이다. 2024년부터 지속 추진해온 이번 행사는 지역 예술가 초대 네 번째 프로그램이다.
초대 작가는 천안·아산 지역 활동 브릭아트 작가 허윤성이다. 허 작가는 레고 브릭과 미니피겨를 결합해 예술과 대중문화를 표현한다. 2016년 미니피겨랜드로 데뷔한 후 덕수궁 특별전, 충남아트페스타, 국립중앙과학관, 코리아브릭파티 등 국내 주요 전시에 참여했다. 현재 충남 거점 지역예술인으로 문화예술 확산에 기여 중이다.
◆ 레고 미니피겨와 렌티큘러 기법 작품 선보여
전시는 1동 3층 커뮤니티 라운지에서 진행된다. 레고 미니피겨 작품과 렌티큘러 기법 브릭아트 작품으로 구성돼 학생들이 친숙한 소재로 현대 예술을 이해할 수 있도록 했다.
12월 18일 목요일 2~3교시에는 작가와의 만남 프로그램이 열린다. 주제는 레고브릭, 취미가 예술이 되다다. 1학년 미술수업 학생과 반려동물이 참석해 취미가 예술로 확장되는 과정과 창작 경험을 직접 듣는다.
◆ 학교, 열린 문화예술 공간으로 거듭난다
황명주 교장은 학교갤러리 프로그램이 교과 수업을 넘어 학생들이 일상 속에서 예술을 자연스럽게 경험하도록 돕는 학교 문화예술 교육의 한 축이라고 설명했다. 황 교장은 2년간의 운영 경험을 바탕으로 앞으로도 지역 예술가와 지속 협력해 학교를 열린 문화예술 공간으로 만들어갈 방침이라고 밝혔다.
이번 전시는 학기 말 예술 체험 기회 제공과 동시에 학교와 지역사회가 문화예술로 연결되는 사례가 될 것으로 예상된다.

◆ Cultural Arts Program with Fourth Invited Guest Artist
Cheonan First High School (Principal Hwang Myung-ju) operates the School Gallery Program for 10 days from December 17 through 26. The program expands student daily spaces into exhibition spaces to enhance art accessibility. This fourth program inviting local artists continues an initiative launched in 2024.
The invited artist is Brick Art Artist Heo Yun-sung, active in the Cheonan-Asan region. Artist Heo combines Lego bricks and minifigures to express art and popular culture. After debuting with Minifigureland in 2016, the artist participated in major domestic exhibitions including Deoksugung Special Exhibition, Chungnam Art Festa, National Museum of Korea Science, and Korea Brick Party. Currently serving as a regional artist based in Chungnam, the artist contributes to cultural arts expansion.
◆ Lego Minifigures and Lenticular Technique Works Presented
The exhibition takes place in the Community Lounge on the third floor of Building 1. Composed of Lego minifigure works and lenticular technique brick art works, the exhibition enables students to understand contemporary art through familiar materials.
On Thursday, December 18, during 2nd and 3rd periods, a meeting program with the artist occurs. The theme is "Lego Brick, Hobby Becomes Art." First-year art class students and companion animals attend to directly experience the process of hobbies expanding into art and creative experience.
◆ School Emerges as Open Cultural Arts Space
Principal Hwang explains the School Gallery Program transcends classroom instruction, helping students naturally experience art in daily life and serves as a cornerstone of school cultural arts education. Based on two years of operational experience, Principal Hwang states the school pursues ongoing collaboration with local artists to transform the school into an open cultural arts space.
The exhibition provides end-of-semester art experience opportunities while serving as an example of schools and communities connecting through cultural arts.
