충청남도홍성교육지원청은 12월 16일 어린이통학차량 안전점검을 실시했다. 교육장 임광섭과 간부공무원들은 실제 등굣길 운행 시간대에 직접 차량에 동승했다.

점검반은 통학차량 운행 및 관리 실태, 학생 승·하차 안전관리, 안전띠 착용 여부, 차량 안전장치 작동 상태, 운전자 및 동승보호자의 안전수칙 이행 여부를 중점 점검했다.

교육청은 점검 결과 개선이 필요한 사항에 대해 점검 학교와 협의 후 개선 조치를 추진하기로 했다. 향후 현장 중심의 점검과 예방 중심의 지도·점검을 지속적으로 실시할 계획이다.

임광섭 교육장은 "학생 안전은 교육활동의 기본"이라며 "현장 중심의 점검을 통해 통학차량 안전관리 실태를 지속적으로 확인하고, 미흡한 부분은 학교 및 관계 기관과 협력해 개선하겠다"고 밝혔다.

홍성교육지원청은 정기 안전점검, 운전자·동승보호자 대상 안전교육, 학교 현장 중심의 안전관리 지원을 통해 학생들의 안전한 등·하교 환경 조성에 역점을 두고 있다.

Officials ride along to verify actual commute operations

The Hongseong Office of Education in Chungcheongnam-do Province conducted a safety inspection of children's school buses on December 16. Superintendent Lim Gwang-seop and senior officials directly rode along in the vehicles during actual morning commute hours.

The inspection team focused on school bus operation and management status, student boarding and alighting safety procedures, seatbelt usage, vehicle safety device operation, and driver and escort compliance with safety protocols.

Based on inspection findings, the education office plans to coordinate improvements with inspected schools and will continue field-focused inspections and preventive guidance and monitoring activities.

Superintendent Lim Gwang-seop stated, "Student safety forms the foundation of educational activities. Through field-focused inspections, we will continue to verify school bus safety management conditions and work cooperatively with schools and related agencies to address any shortcomings."

The Hongseong Office of Education prioritizes creating a safe commute environment for students through regular safety inspections, safety training for drivers and escorts, and school-centered safety management support.
