임 전 부군수는 30여 년간 공직에 몸담으며 진천군과 충북도 행정 전반에서 핵심 역할을 수행했다. 군에서는 기획, 환경, 도시, 문화·경제, 행정 지원 등 주요 부서를 두루 거치며 군정 운영의 중추적 업무를 맡았다. 도와의 교류 인사 근무로 광역 행정과 정책 조정 역량도 함께 키웠다.

임 전 부군수는 "현장에서 보고 느낀 과제들을 이제는 다른 방식으로 고민하고 싶었다"며 "그동안 쌓아온 행정 경험과 지역에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 지역 사회와 함께 호흡하며 책임 있는 역할을 고민해 나가고자 입당하게 됐다"고 밝혔다.

Former Jincheon Deputy County Governor Lim Bo-yeol (59) joined the Democratic Party of Korea on December 15.
Lim served in public office for over 30 years and played a key role in the overall administration of Jincheon-gun and North Chungcheong Province. In the county, he handled core duties in county governance, working across major departments including planning, environment, urban affairs, culture and economy, and administrative support. Through exchange personnel assignments with the province, he also developed capabilities in metropolitan administration and policy coordination.
His strength is cited as his role as a bridge organically connecting fieldwork and policy while moving across various departments and agencies.
Lim stated, "I wanted to address the challenges I saw and felt in the field in a different way," adding, "Based on the administrative experience and understanding of the region I have accumulated, I decided to join the party to consider responsible roles while working alongside the local community."
