◆28일 기념행사서 글로벌 비전 공유
백석대학교와 백석문화대학교가 28일 백석대 백석홀 소강당에서 건학 49주년 기념행사를 개최했다. 양 대학은 '백석 49년, 배움과 사랑으로 이어온 여정'을 주제로 내년 50주년을 앞두고 글로벌 선도 대학으로 도약하겠다는 비전을 밝혔다. 전 교직원과 학생들은 설립자 하은 장종현 박사의 건학이념을 되새기고, 국제적 위상 강화를 위한 실천계획을 논의했다.
◆50주년 기념사업 선포…6개 사업 추진
양 대학은 '백석학원 설립 50주년 및 하은 장종현 박사 육영 50년 기념사업' 선포식을 가졌다. 2027년 2월까지 국제학술대회, 기념 조형물 제막, 백석아케이드 조성, 교목사역 박람회, 기념 논문집 발간, 회고록 출간 등 6개 사업을 추진한다. 백석학원은 1976년 11월 1일 서울 용산구 동자동에서 대한복음신학교로 출발해 현재 백석대학교(총장 송기신), 백석문화대학교(총장 이경직), 백석예술대학교(총장 윤미란) 등 3개 대학을 운영하고 있다.
◆송기신 총장 "제2의 창학 도모"…'백석사랑 111 캠페인' 전개
송기신 백석대 총장은 "'진리가 너희를 자유케 하리라'는 교훈 아래 49년간 기독교 교육에 헌신해왔다"며 "내년 50주년을 맞아 제2의 창학을 도모하고, 교육·연구·사회봉사 분야에서 글로벌 파트너십을 확대해 세계를 향한 글로벌 선도 대학으로 발전하겠다"고 밝혔다. 백석학원은 건학 50주년을 맞아 한 사람이 1년간 매월 1만원씩 후원하는 '백석사랑 111 캠페인'을 전개하고 있다.

Baekseok University and Baekseok Arts University held a 49th founding anniversary commemoration event at Baekseok University's Baekseok Hall small auditorium on the 28th. Under the theme 'Baekseok 49 Years, A Journey Continued Through Learning and Love', both universities announced their vision to leap forward as global leading universities ahead of their 50th anniversary next year. All faculty, staff, and students reflected on the founding ideology of founder Dr. Ha-eun Jang Jong-hyun and discussed action plans to strengthen international status.
◆50th Anniversary Commemorative Project Announced...6 Projects to be Pursued
Both universities held a declaration ceremony for the 'Baekseok Foundation 50th Anniversary and Dr. Ha-eun Jang Jong-hyun 50 Years of Educational Service Commemorative Project'. They will pursue six projects by February 2027, including an international academic conference, memorial sculpture unveiling, Baekseok Arcade construction, chaplaincy ministry fair, commemorative thesis publication, and memoir publication. Baekseok Foundation started as Daehan Gospel Seminary in Dongja-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul on November 1, 1976, and currently operates three universities: Baekseok University (President Song Ki-shin), Baekseok Arts University (President Lee Kyung-jik), and Baekseok Arts University (President Yoon Mi-ran).
◆President Song Ki-shin "Will Pursue Second Founding"...'Baekseok Love 111 Campaign' Launched
Baekseok University President Song Ki-shin said, "Under the teaching 'The truth will set you free', we have devoted ourselves to Christian education for 49 years," and stated, "We will pursue a second founding on the occasion of our 50th anniversary next year and expand global partnerships in education, research, and social service to develop into a global leading university toward the world." Baekseok Foundation is launching the 'Baekseok Love 111 Campaign' for its 50th founding anniversary, a sharing movement where one person donates 10,000 won monthly for one year.
