◆ LH와 함께하는 예타 대응
홍성군은 5일 대전광역시 LH토지주택연구원에서 김명수 산업단지처장을 만나 내포신도시 미래신산업 국가산업단지 조성사업의 한국개발연구원(KDI) 예비타당성조사(예타) 대응 전략을 논의했다. 양 기관은 예타 통과가 사업 추진의 핵심 관문이라는 데 의견을 모았으며, 필요 자료 검토와 부족 부분 보완을 신속하게 추진하기로 합의했다.
◆ 미래산업 핵심 분야 육성
홍성군은 미래자동차, 2차전지, 반도체·디스플레이 등 산업장비 분야를 중심으로 국가산업단지를 조성할 계획이다. 국가산단은 지역 신산업의 성장 거점으로 자리매김하며, 청년 일자리 창출과 지역경제 활성화를 견인하는 역할을 할 것으로 예상된다.
◆ 전략적 추진으로 예타 통과 목표
이용록 홍성군수는 "내포신도시 국가산단 조성은 홍성군 미래 산업구조 혁신을 견인할 핵심 사업"이라며 "예타 통과를 반드시 달성하겠다"고 밝혔다. 군은 LH와의 협력 체계를 강화해 신속한 자료 보완과 철저한 준비 과정을 거쳐 예타 승인을 목표로 추진한다.

Hongseong County met Kim Myung-soo, director of the Industrial Complex Division at the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) Research Institute in Daejeon on December 5 to discuss the preliminary feasibility study (PFS) response strategy for the Korea Development Institute (KDI) regarding the Naepo New City Future Industry National Industrial Complex development project. Both organizations agreed that passing the PFS is the critical gateway for project implementation and committed to promptly reviewing necessary materials and addressing any shortcomings.
◆ Fostering Key Future Industry Sectors
Hongseong County plans to develop the national industrial complex focused on future automobiles, secondary batteries, and semiconductor and display industrial equipment sectors. The national industrial complex is expected to serve as a growth hub for the region's emerging industries, driving youth job creation and regional economic vitalization.
◆ Strategic Implementation to Achieve PFS Approval
Hongseong County Governor Lee Yong-rok stated, "The development of the Naepo New City National Industrial Complex is a core project that will drive the innovation of Hongseong County's future industrial structure," and emphasized "we will ensure PFS approval through thorough preparation." The county is strengthening its cooperation framework with LH to pursue rapid material supplementation and comprehensive preparation for PFS approval.
