◆ 은행원의 기민함이 3,500만원 대출 피해 차단

청주흥덕경찰서(서장 경무관 임종명)는 5일 농협은행 청주공단지점을 방문해 보이스피싱 피해 예방에 기여한 은행원에게 감사장을 전달했다. 은행원의 신고로 피해자 A씨(42세)가 입을 뻔한 3,500만원 규모의 금전 피해가 원천 차단된 것이다.

◆ SBI저축은행 사칭 조직원의 대출 신청 중 의심 포착

사건은 지난 12월 2일 12시 25분경 발생했다. A씨가 SBI저축은행을 사칭한 조직원에 속아 3,500만원 대출을 신청했다. 상담 중이던 농협 직원은 A씨의 불안해하는 모습을 포착했다. 더욱 주목할 점은 NH농협 앱이 정상적인 경로가 아닌 비정상적 방식으로 설치된 사실을 발견한 것이다. 직원은 즉시 112에 신고했다.

◆ 경찰-금융기관 협력 체계 구축으로 피해 예방 강화

임종명 서장은 "보이스피싱은 국민의 안전과 재산을 위협하는 조직범죄"라며 "금융기관 현장 직원들의 고객 이상 징후 포착과 신속한 대응이 가장 중요하다"고 강조했다. 경찰서는 청주흥덕경찰서와 농협은행 청주공단지점 간 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다. 임 서장은 "앞으로 지역 금융기관과 긴밀히 협력해 피해 예방 활동을 더욱 강화하겠다"고 밝혔다.

The swift response and detection of customer anomalies by on-site financial institution employees is most critical." The police station concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Cheongju Heungdeok Police Station and NH Nonghyup Bank Cheongju Industrial Complex Branch. Commander Lim said, "Going forward, we will strengthen prevention activities through closer cooperation with local financial institutions."
