◆ 태조산 등산로 대규모 정비 완료

천안시는 태조산 등산로 정비공사를 완료했다. 시는 총사업비 10억 원을 투입해 8월부터 10월까지 3개월간 4개 구간 10km에 이르는 등산로를 정비했다고 12일 밝혔다. 정비 범위는 해맞이광장 일원을 포함한다.

◆ 안전 시설 강화로 보행 편의성 향상

시는 경사가 급하고 안전 취약 구간에 목계단, 데크계단, 안전난간, 야자매트를 설치했다. 흙막이 시설과 등의자 설치, 데크상판 교체, 배수로 정비도 함께 진행했다. 집중호우 시 토사 유실을 방지하고 등산로 내구성을 강화했다.

◆ 4m 규모 전망대 신설로 관광 거점화

시는 태조산 정상에 높이 4m의 하늘길 전망대를 신설했다. 전망대에서 천안 시내와 자연경관을 조망할 수 있다. 고려 태조 왕건의 기상을 형상화한 상징물과 글자 조형물로 포토존도 구성했다. 시는 새 전망대가 관광 수요를 창출하고 지역경제 활성화에 기여할 것으로 예상하고 있다.

◆ Major renovation of Taejoasan mountain trail completed

Cheonan City completed the renovation of the Taejoasan mountain trail. The city invested 1 billion won in total project costs and completed maintenance work on four sections totaling 10km over three months from August through October, the city announced on the 12th. The renovation scope included the area around Sunrise Plaza.

◆ Safety facilities strengthened to improve walkability

The city installed wooden stairs, deck stairs, safety railings, and palm mats on steep and safety-vulnerable sections. The city also installed soil retention facilities, rest benches, replaced deck surface plates, and improved drainage. The renovation prevents soil loss during heavy rain and strengthens the durability of the mountain trail.

◆ New four-meter observation deck established as tourism hub

The city newly constructed a "Sky Road Observation Deck" four meters in height at the summit of Taejoasan. Visitors can overlook Cheonan's cityscape and natural landscape from the observation deck. The city created photo zones with symbolic monuments and sculptural characters depicting the spirit of Taejo Wang Geon of the Goryeo Dynasty. The city anticipates the new observation deck will generate tourism demand and contribute to revitalization of the local economy.
