세종특별자치시새마을회(회장 김영제)는 12월 3일 오전 11시 조치원 복합커뮤니티센터 대공연장에서 '2025년 세종시새마을지도자대회'를 개최했다. 대회에는 약 200명이 참석했다. 이번 대회는 2025년 새마을운동 성과를 공유하고 2026년 비전을 제시하는 자리였다. 대회 슬로건은 "함께 새마을 미래로, 세계로"였다.
◆ 유공 지도자 27명 포상…새마을포장·대통령표창 수여
조철환 새마을문고세종시지부회장은 새마을포장을 받았다. 허용무 부강면협의회장은 대통령표창을 수상했다. 정부포상 4명, 시장표창 8명, 중앙회장 표창 9명, 세종시새마을회장 표창 6명 등 총 27명이 포상을 받았다. 대회는 11,066명 새마을회원 간 화합의 장이 됐다.
◆ 최민호 시장·김광림 중앙회장 참석해 격려
최민호 세종시장은 2025년 폭염과 호우 속에서 봉사한 새마을지도자들에게 감사를 전했다. 김광림 새마을운동중앙회장은 "기후 위기와 AI 시대에 대응하기 위해 3가지 과제를 준비해야 한다"며 "미래 100년을 향해 힘을 모아야 한다"고 강조했다. 김영제 세종시새마을회장은 "도약하는 새마을운동과 세종시를 위해 '하면된다' 신념으로 최선을 다하겠다"고 다짐했다.

The Sejong Special Self-Governing City Saemaul Association (Chairman Kim Young-je) held the '2025 Sejong City Saemaul Leaders Conference' at the Jochiwon Complex Community Center Grand Performance Hall at 11 a.m. on December 3. ◆ 27 Distinguished Leaders Honored with Saemaul Medal and Presidential Citation
Cho Cheol-hwan, Chairman of the Saemaul Library Sejong City Branch, received the Saemaul Medal. Heo Yong-mu, Chairman of the Bugang-myeon Council, received the Presidential Citation. A total of 27 people received awards including 4 government awards, 8 mayoral citations, 9 central association chairman citations, and 6 Sejong City Saemaul Association chairman citations. The conference served as a venue for unity among 11,066 Saemaul members.

Sejong Mayor Choi Min-ho expressed gratitude to Saemaul leaders who volunteered during the 2025 heat waves and heavy rains. Kim Kwang-lim, Chairman of the Saemaul Movement Central Association, emphasized "We must prepare three tasks to respond to climate crisis and the AI era" and "We must unite for the next 100 years." Kim Young-je, Chairman of the Sejong City Saemaul Association, pledged "I will do my best with the belief that 'we can do it' for the leaping Saemaul Movement and Sejong City."
