소방본부는 지난달 27일부터 이달 3일까지 연면적 10만㎡ 이상 초대형 물류창고 4개소를 대상으로 정밀 조사를 실시했다. 조사 결과 110건의 위험 요인을 확인했다. 주요 적발 내역은 감리업 거짓 감리(입건), 소방 안전관리 보조자 교육 소홀(과태료), 스프링클러 밸브 불량(조치 명령) 등이다. 소방본부는 법령 위반 사항에 무관용 원칙을 적용해 조치 명령과 과태료를 부과하고 중대 위법사항 입건을 검토 중이다.

성호선 충남소방본부장은 "이번 조사는 천안 물류창고 화재와 같은 대형 재난 재발 방지 선제 조치"라며 "확인된 위험 요인을 철저히 개선하고 예방 활동을 지속 강화해 안전한 충남을 만들겠다"고 말했다. 소방본부는 물류창고 업종 특성을 반영한 맞춤형 조사를 확대하고 산업 규모에 맞춘 체계적 안전관리 정책을 추진할 계획이다.
