◆ 백제종합병원, 필수의료 거점 기능 점검

충남도의회 보건복지환경위원회(위원장 김민수)는 제362회 정례회 기간 중 2일 논산시 백제종합병원을 방문했다. 위원회는 지역 필수의료 인프라와 응급의료 대응체계를 점검했다. 백제종합병원은 충남 서남부권 중증·응급환자를 담당하는 핵심 의료기관이다. 병상 현황, 인력 규모, 주요 현안 등을 직접 확인했다.

다음 방문지는 공주시 충청남도노인복지시설협회였다. 도내 70개소 노인복지시설이 참여하는 대표 협의체다. 4천여 명의 종사자가 5천6백여 명의 노인을 돌보고 있다. 충남 15개 시·군 전체와 네트워크를 구성해 지역 현장 의견을 수렴하는 구조를 갖췄다.

신순옥 부위원장(비례·국민의힘)은 "협회는 도내 70개 시설의 직접 의견을 수렴하는 창구"라고 평가했다. 그는 "돌봄 현장의 현실을 가장 잘 이해하는 조직"이라고 덧붙였다.
