◆ 백운면 이장협의회 결의문 채택
백운면 이장협의회 345KV 신평창-신원주 송전선로 건설사업 제천 경유 노선 철회를 강력 촉구했다. 백운면 이장협의회 지난달 26일 백운면에서 열린 11월 월례회의에서 이 노선 관련 결의문을 채택했다.
◆ 제천에 17개 마을 송전탑 계획
건설 계획에 따르면 제천시 내 4개 읍면동 17개 마을에 송전탑이 들어선다. 백운면 방학2리, 도곡1리, 운학1리, 운학2리, 덕동리 5개 마을이 경과대역에 포함된다. 백운면에는 이미 345KV와 154KV 송전탑 70~80개가 설치되어 있다.
◆ "중앙 정부의 불균형 정책 개선하라"
백운면 이장협의회 성명에서 "한전이 제천시민을 무시하고 일방적으로 추진하는 절차는 용납할 수 없다"고 지적했다. 협의회 "제천은 이미 다수의 송전선로와 댐 건설로 인한 피해를 입은 지역"이라며 "국가사업의 수혜는 수도권과 대기업이 보고, 피해는 지역 주민과 농촌이 입는 불합리한 상황이 반복되고 있다"고 밝혔다. 협의회 정부에 "근본적 해결책을 제시하라"고 촉구했다.

◆ Village Leaders Adopt Resolution Against Power Line Project
The Baekun-myeon Village Leaders' Association called for the withdrawal of the 345KV Shinpyeongchang-Shinwonju transmission line project that would pass through Jeju City. The association passed a resolution against the project during its November monthly meeting held on the 26th in Baekun-myeon.
◆ Seventeen Villages Planned to Host New Transmission Towers
According to construction plans, transmission towers will be installed in 17 villages across four administrative divisions in Jeju City. Five villages in Baekun-myeon—Banghak 2-ri, Dogok 1-ri, Wunhak 1-ri, Wunhak 2-ri, and Deokdong-ri—fall within the transmission line corridor. Baekun-myeon already has 70 to 80 transmission towers of 345KV and 154KV capacity installed.
◆ Local Leaders Demand Government Action on Regional Inequality
The Baekun-myeon Village Leaders' Association stated that Korea Electric Power Corporation's unilateral procedures that disregard Jeju City residents are unacceptable. The association noted that "Jeju has already suffered damage from multiple transmission lines and dam construction projects." It added that "national projects bring benefits to the Seoul metropolitan area and large corporations while the damage falls entirely on local residents and rural communities. This pattern of inequality must stop." The association urged the government to "present fundamental solutions."
