전국에서 두 번째 해양치유센터가 12일 충남 태안에서 문을 열었다.

◆ 399억 투입, 피트·염지하수 활용 프로그램 운영

태안군은 12일 남면 태안해양치유센터에서 개관식을 열었다. 센터는 청포대해수욕장 인근 달산포에 위치하며, 총 사업비 399억원이 투입됐다. 연면적 8478㎡, 지하 1층·지상 2층 규모다.

센터는 피트(천연 유기물)와 소금, 염지하수 등 태안군의 천연 자원을 활용해 해양치유 프로그램을 운영한다. 1층에는 염지하수를 활용한 바데풀 등 9개 기본 프로그램실을 갖췄다. 2층은 피트를 활용한 전신테라피실 등 8개 전문 프로그램실과 15개 치유룸으로 구성됐다.

옥상에는 인피니티풀이 조성돼 서해 바다 경관을 감상할 수 있다. 센터는 톳마늘 리조토 등 40여 종의 치유 식단과 피트로 만든 토탄수 함유 상용품(토너·로션·샴푸·트리트먼트·바디워시)을 개발했다.

◆ 개관식에 BMK·지현아·장민호 축하 공연

개관식은 표지석 제막식으로 시작해 색소포니스트 고민석과 팝페라 가수 구현모의 식전 공연이 진행됐다. 본 행사 후 BMK·지현아·장민호의 축하 공연이 이어졌다.

가세로 태안군수는 "태안해양치유센터가 우리나라를 대표하는 해양치유의 새로운 출발점이 될 것"이라며 "국민의 건강한 삶과 태안의 발전을 위한 중심축이 되도록 운영에 최선을 다하겠다"고 말했다.

전형식 충남도 부지사는 "충남은 태안해양치유센터를 핵심 거점으로 설정하고 해양바이오·레저관광 연계를 통한 서해안 치유산업 벨트화를 추진할 계획"이라고 밝혔다.

국내 첫 해양치유센터는 2023년 전남 완도군에 조성됐다.

◆ 39.9 Billion Won Investment, Programs Utilizing Peat and Saline Groundwater

Taean County held an opening ceremony at Taean Marine Healing Center in Nam-myeon on the 12th. The center is located at Dalsanpo near Cheongpodae Beach and received a total investment of 39.9 billion won. It covers 8,478㎡ with one basement floor and two above-ground floors.

The center operates marine healing programs utilizing Taean County's natural resources including peat (natural organic matter), salt, and saline groundwater. The first floor features nine basic program rooms including a bade pool utilizing saline groundwater. The second floor consists of eight specialized program rooms including a full-body therapy room utilizing peat, and 15 healing rooms.

An infinity pool on the rooftop offers views of the West Sea scenery. The center developed approximately 40 types of healing menus including sea mustard garlic risotto and products containing peat water made from peat (toner, lotion, shampoo, treatment, body wash).

◆ Opening Ceremony Features Performances by BMK, Ji Hyun-ah, Jang Min-ho

The ceremony began with a monument unveiling, followed by pre-event performances by saxophonist Go Min-seok and poppera singer Gu Hyun-mo. After the main event, congratulatory performances by BMK, Ji Hyun-ah, and Jang Min-ho followed.

Taean County Mayor Ga Se-ro said, "Taean Marine Healing Center will become a new starting point for marine healing representing our country," adding "We will do our best in operations to make it the central axis for citizens' healthy lives and Taean's development."

Chungnam Province Vice Governor Jeon Hyung-sik stated, "Chungnam plans to establish Taean Marine Healing Center as a core base and promote a West Coast healing industry belt through linkage with marine bio and leisure tourism."

Korea's first marine healing center was established in Wando County, South Jeolla Province in 2023.
