내란 특검팀(특별검사 조은석)이 12일 황교안 전 국무총리에 대해 내란 선동 혐의로 구속영장을 청구했다.

특검은 오전 6시55분께 체포영장을 집행한 뒤 황 전 총리를 서울고검 특검 사무실로 인치해 조사했다. 오후 5시께 조사를 마친 뒤 오후 6시50분께 구속영장을 청구했다.

황 전 총리는 조사 과정에서 "특검의 조사는 표적 수사이자 정치 보복"이라며 대부분 진술을 거부한 것으로 알려졌다.

황 전 총리는 12·3 비상계엄 선포 직후 SNS에 "종북주사파 세력과 부정선거 세력을 반드시 척결해야 한다" "우원식 국회의장을 체포하라" "한동훈 국민의힘 대표도 체포하라"는 게시글을 올린 혐의를 받는다.

The insurrection special prosecution team (Special Prosecutor Cho Eun-seok) requested an arrest warrant for former Prime Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn on charges of insurrection incitement on the 12th.

The special prosecution executed a detention warrant around 6:55 AM, transferred former Prime Minister Hwang to the special prosecution office at Seoul High Prosecutors' Office, and conducted an investigation. After completing the investigation around 5 PM, they requested an arrest warrant around 6:50 PM.

Former Prime Minister Hwang reportedly refused to testify to most questions during the investigation, claiming "the special prosecution's investigation is a targeted investigation and political retaliation."

Former Prime Minister Hwang is accused of posting on SNS immediately after the December 3 emergency martial law declaration, stating "We must eradicate pro-North leftist forces and election fraud forces," "Arrest National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-shik," and "Arrest People Power Party leader Han Dong-hoon."
