◆ 제주테크노파크 미래산업센터 방문
헬스케어스파산업진흥원(원장 이경헌)은 AI기반 융합 비즈니스 벤치마킹을 위해 11일 제주테크노파크 미래산업센터에 위치한 한국전자통신연구원(ETRI) 제주AX융합연구실(실장 김규형)을 방문했다.
한국전자통신연구원은 대한민국 정보통신기술(ICT) 분야를 선도하는 정부 출연 연구기관이다. 제주AX융합연구실은 AX 기반 기후테크 개발, 소버린 관광 AX 서비스 기술 개발, 인공지능 및 반도체 분야 인재양성 등 제주권역 특화 연구를 추진하고 있다.
◆ 지역 중심 AX·DX 연구 체계 벤치마킹
헬스케어스파산업진흥원은 ETRI의 제주권역 주력 산업 분야 AX 전환 추진과 지역 산업체 및 대학교와 공동 연구 추진 체계를 벤치마킹했다. 진흥원은 지역 중심의 AX·DX 연구 체계를 충남권 먹거리 창출에 적용할 예정이다.
ETRI 제주AX융합연구실 김규형 실장은 "ETRI 제주AX융합연구실은 현재 지역 주력 산업 중심으로 AX·DX를 추진하고 있으며, 지역 니즈 기반에 그 영역을 더욱 넓힐 예정"이라고 밝혔다. 이어 "제주도청 등 지역의 유관기관과 협력하여 지속 가능한 연구실을 만들겠다"고 말했다.
◆ 충남권 사업 최적화로 미래 먹거리 창출
이경헌 원장은 "지역기반의 우수 혁신기관 비즈니스모델을 벤치마킹하고, 이를 충남권 사업으로 최적화하여 미래 먹거리 창출을 이어나가겠다"고 밝혔다.

◆ Visit to Jeju Techno Park Future Industry Center
The Healthcare Spa Industry Promotion Agency (Director Lee Kyung-heon) visited the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) Jeju AX Convergence Research Laboratory (Director Kim Gyu-hyeong) located at the Jeju Techno Park Future Industry Center on the 11th to benchmark AI-based convergence business.
The Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute is a government-funded research institute leading South Korea's information and communication technology (ICT) sector. The Jeju AX Convergence Research Laboratory is promoting research specialized for the Jeju region, including AX-based climate tech development, sovereign tourism AX service technology development, and talent cultivation in artificial intelligence and semiconductor fields.
◆ Benchmarking regional AX·DX research system
The Healthcare Spa Industry Promotion Agency benchmarked ETRI's AX transformation promotion in major industries in the Jeju region and its joint research promotion system with local industries and universities. The agency plans to apply the regional AX·DX research system to job creation in the Chungnam region.
Kim Gyu-hyeong, director of ETRI Jeju AX Convergence Research Laboratory, stated, "ETRI Jeju AX Convergence Research Laboratory is currently promoting AX·DX centered on regional key industries and plans to further expand the scope based on regional needs." He added, "We will cooperate with local related organizations such as Jeju Provincial Office to create a sustainable laboratory."
◆ Future job creation through Chungnam business optimization
Director Lee Kyung-heon stated, "We will benchmark business models of excellent regional innovation institutions and optimize them for Chungnam businesses to continue creating future jobs."
